Earhart Mars Exploration & Astronomy: In the first half of Thursday's program, Professor David Weintraub shared updates on astronomy and space science, and discussed why, of all the celestial bodies in our solar system, Mars has beckoned to us the most. We will have the ability to get humans to Mars within a decade with companies like SpaceX, he noted, but whether that's a good idea is up for debate if it's questionable how feasible it will be to bring a crew back alive. Much has been accomplished through robotic spacecraft like the rovers, and such missions, he added, are far more affordable than sending a human team. Read the full recap here. Haunted Locations: In the second half of Thursday's program, author and paranormal expert, Richard Estep talked about cases involving haunted hospitals, poltergeists, and houses where murders took place. "Asylum 49," a haunted hospital in Tooele, Utah was partially turned into a "full contact" Halloween attraction and contains the original hospital equipment from when it ceased operation. Estep believes he saw a full-bodied apparition of a young girl at the former hospital-- at first, he thought she was one of the actors the facility uses, but the staff informed him they don't employ actors that young, and he probably saw a ghost they called "Sarah." Hospitals lend themselves to hauntings because of the dramatic life and death situations that take place there, he explained. Get the full scoop here. Incredibly, the creature was not again seen by scientists for over a century and was assumed to have died out until an entomologist managed to find a new specimen of the insect in 1981 and, following that, it remained largely elusive for another four decades until an expedition to Indonesia last month encountered the creature. Weekend Edition February 25, 2019 Coast Insider Audio The Power Of Intention: According to scientist and author, Dean Radin, magic is a natural aspect of reality, and each of us can tap into this power with diligent practice. He joined George Knapp in the first half on Sunday to discuss how, after spending the last forty years conducting controlled experiments, he has demonstrated that thoughts are things, we can sense others' emotions and intentions from a distance, and intuition is more powerful than we thought. He described science as the best way we have of testing theories, and magic as "an application of an esoteric worldview," in other words, the use of the mind or will to affect reality. Learn more. Stealth Technology: The F-117 Nighthawk stealth attack jet is still a flying machine like none ever created. In the second half on Sunday, aviation expert Tyler Rogoway joined the program to discuss this most mysterious of aircraft, its history, and why it may still be in use, as well as other deep space and air defense issues. Developed in a flurry of stealth innovation in the 1970s by the Lockheed aircraft company, the F-117 was kept flying "for decades" and now may be used as training aircraft simulating adversaries, converted into unmanned planes, or as test platforms for new stealth technology. Rogoway believes that the famous "tic tac" UFO incident was an actual event, and that the report that was released publicly "read exactly like" others he has seen on non-mysterious incidents. "In dowsing and remote viewing, both, we learn how to leverage what's going on in our subconscious... our subconscious is hooked up to the rest of the universe," he said. During the second half of the program, UFO researcher Bruce Maccabee talked about the phenomenon known as "green fireballs," luminous green lights first spotted in the skies over the southwestern United States in 1948. "One of the most amazing things about the green fireballs was that they were concentrated over the next two years over the southwestern United States, and they're hardly any reports of green fireballs in other parts of the world," Maccabee said. JungleWhale Science & Religion Myths: In the first half of Monday's program, senior fellow at Discovery Institute and a former Fulbright scholar, Michael Newton Keas, presented popular myths which suggest that Christianity is anti-science. One of these is the idea that being part of a vast universe somehow conflicts with early Christian thought. The Old Testament has comparisons of the hugeness of the universe with God's love, Keas remarked, and modern scientific discoveries about the size of the cosmos do not undermine religious belief. Another myth is that people in the Middle Ages thought the Earth was flat because of biblical beliefs, but the Bible, he noted, doesn't take any view on the shape of our planet. Spirit Releasement: In the latter half of Monday's program, therapist and spirit release worker Brett Farrell identified spirit attachments as a powerful force dominating people's lives, and has developed techniques for clearing or removing these harmful entities. There are a number of entity types, including spirits of the deceased, and dark, demonic beings, as well as thought-forms-- often conjured by the negative focus of the living. Farrell said he can track the attachments back to their source. Dark entities, he cited, are generally part of a hierarchy and the oldest ones tend to be at the top and can be enormous. In the case of a lesser dark attachment, he followed its trail back to a huge being. "I actually stood on his chest to talk to him," Farrell said of his encounter in the astral realm. He defined synchronicity as an alignment of circumstances, where there is a meaningful relationship between an outside and inside event. A future experience that can be anticipated connects or interacts with a tree of possibilities or outcomes, he explained, and by paying attention to the synchronicities and their meanings, we can experience more flow in our lives. Nessie030519 The Fluoride Controversy: In the first half of Tuesday's show, Paul Connett, Executive Director of the Fluoride Action Network, weighed in on the controversial debate over fluoridating the water supply. Applied topically via toothpaste, fluoride might help in fighting dental decay, he conceded, though when it's consumed via drinking water it's toxic to the human body. Mother's milk has a natural filter lowering exposure to fluoride, but babies fed formula in a city like Los Angeles are getting about 200 times more fluoride than those who are nursed, he cited. Some 53 out of 60 studies showed that kids with higher fluoride exposure have lower IQs, he added. A 12-year study from the US government published in 2017 measured the level of fluoride in pregnant women, and then the IQs of their offspring over time, and confirmed this conclusion. Stemming from Freemasonry is the idea that certain types of knowledge are so sacred and important that they cannot be freely given to the profane but have to "go through an initiatic system from master to disciple," he detailed. What was this forbidden knowledge? Albo explained it's that "the mind, this divine spark of reason, has the capacity to read the book of nature and all the mysteries within." The Western Mystery Tradition refers to a variety of currents, which point out that true knowledge can only be obtained through gnosis – an inner intuition that leads to salvation. He also touched on the dangers of electronic smog from routers, and mobile devices, as well as the 5G towers, popping up all over. The human body can be viewed as a kind of antenna, he said, and the length of our nervous system, if laid out, would amount to around 60,000 miles, which makes us equivalent to being a coil. In the latter half of Thursday's show, he shared the 'Primal Process Theory,' which his co-author, the psychiatrist Dr. Hifzija Bajramovic, developed. It suggests that humans operate from three different default mindsets-- Fighting, Defeated, and Appeasing.
