It warmed up slightly here and made it almost up to 60 with sunshine today. Cooler as the week goes on and I finally turned on my furnace. Cooler weather is making me want to hibernate....
Stay warm, everyone!

Ugh, not liking these early wintery temps either. We may get a little snow as well. Rather unusual here this early in the season. Tomorrow I will be covering the a/c on the inside with plastic and insulation as well as some of the windows. Ran errands yesterday while it was reasonably warm (in the 40's) so I could stay in til Saturday, when it will warm up slightly before turning a lot colder on Monday and Tuesday.
Hope your fur babies all stay warm. How many do you still have?

I have 10 in the shed they are in their late teens now so the numbers are thinning the highest was 14 out there.
I hve some in the garage still, but they are outside anytime the weather permits. then 5 in the sunroom and they will be moved to garage soon as the vax and neuters are completed I let them go out to play in the garage to get them used to it cause as soon as I can, out they go! (they do not go outside yet still need the vax against the viruses around here.
I have 2 sister (20 yrs old and 2 brothers still in the house, and they will be moved to the sunroom which is really 2 large areas) as soon as the younger ones are done and moved to garage.
Rick has put up screen type doors to slowly get them further and further towards the final area.. and me getting my house back! some are either too old or too young to be full time outside even thought I have warm houses all over out in the yard.
so the answer is STILL TOO MANY!!!! lol I also feed 15 feral orphan kittens the mothers either got hit by a car or eaten by the coyotes and hawks, they are all under 5 months old so I do feed them and made warm chewy box huts for them.... in the spring I hope they take off to where ever they hormones take them!
it is cold.. 29 and I'm feeling it in my joints. I hate to think about the -5 days or weeks still to come!
stay warm , everyone!

Oh my, didn't realize you still had that many to take care of! I don't know how you do it all!
We're getting a nice day today, in the low 60's, but tomorrow a nosedive and a chance of snow by Tuesday. Ugh. I have more windows I need to cover with plastic. Wish I didn't have to get out tomorrow and Wednesday but have medical appointments. Looks like it's going to be even worse up by you, SAR.
Til then, hoping everyone is having a good weekend!

yes still have too many but am losing more each week because of old age. I have 15 up for adoption.. so there is always hope! Rick cut a bunch of 4 inch saplings and put up climbing posts and scratching post they all love!
I feel like if I were to pass away suddenly, I know he'd take care of them.
dr appts for us all week, too Monday, Wed. and thurs, then next week my having mamo
I got served breakfast in bed, I felt spoiled!
I made the most tender pork spareribs and baked potatoes in the crock pot, salad and deep dish carmel apple pie for dessert.
Rick worked on Dan's log splitter and the bucket tractor all day, and I walked the woods with friends on the trails he groomed.
I did 4 loads of clothes and hung them out and they dried! so this is probably the last line dried bed linens for a while.
yesterday we tore down the large water garden in the courtyard so RIck can dig up and address the final area that floods and sometimes gets into the house. (it is great having an engineer as a partner!, and he is a mechanic and electrician!..I really hit the jack pot!) in the spring we'll make a water feature with the large waterfall I always wanted.
the winter weather is here with a vengeance this week, so we'll get started on all the inside projects that have been on hold when Dan was sick.
feeling so truly blessed, and leaving the pie out ...help yourself!

Goodness, you sure did hit the jackpot finding him! It's nice to see how much you two have accomplished and how happy you seem to be these days.
We've got light snow, sleet, strong winds and dropping temps. It was 60 yesterday, 40 this morning, it's 23 now and by morning will be in the teens. Lots of car accidents around the state. I'm glad you got the kitties all taken care of in preparation for your snow and cold!
Stay safe and warm, everyone!

Sorry that I haven't been around lately. Just so busy.
My fingers got too sore at the wreath shop so I had to stop. Billy is going to be laid off this Friday. It's getting hard to make the asphalt now, the rock, sand, etc piles are so frozen and have to be beat apart so no large lumps go into the plant.
It's cold here too. We've had a few snow days already but there's not much down.
I just thought I'd check in on you all. Billy should be home from work shortly. I've got to do up his lunch for tomorrow.

your poor fingers, CSue!
will Billy get unemployment or just have to tough it out?
I get SS and so does Rick, but he is still paying on storage and the move he made.. we do ok but we are also working on this place so we just chip away.
the cold is really early this yr but a warm up is coming this week. I can deal much better when it is cold then warms up but it is hard on the animals outside.
waving to all...
