Here comes September....trees turning colors, kids back to school, apples filling the air with their sweet scents. we are in the 4 of 8 days 90 or better, and it is so hard on the animals.. lots of water, and fans is all I can do. I painted in the master bath today. I'm not a painter.. but it will suffice. I will try to re decorate IC with fall images one day soon. Hope you all have a safe holiday and plans for tomorrow are fun. Vera (neighbor) is a turkey and I am making sides and we'll eat over here. Tues I have appts coming here so I sure need to take some time and make at least a few rooms presentable. prayers and hugs for all~!

Miserable here too, SAR. Can't wait til it cools off a little. Sounds like you are keeping busy like always! Hope you are having a nice meal and visit today. Got to pick up Hannah from school and take her back so she could ride with her coach to the volleyball game Friday and then had lunch at Fazoli's yesterday with Rob. Home today in the A/C. I'm still having problems with the next door neighbor. She walked up to me with a cigarette and a beer in her hand yesterday trying to pick a fight. Luckily my neighbor Pam was outside with me as I diffused the situation. Pam witnessed the bad neighbor flipping me off behind my back. Pam and I (as well as two others) smelled gas and we were walking around trying to find out where it was coming from. The bad neighbor made a snide remark about how I was "always smelling something" but shut up when I told her there were four of us who smelled it. I kept my cool and didn't let myself be drawn into her aggressiveness, but if she had assaulted me we would have had her arrested and she would be evicted. Still trying to find a way to move out of here before she burns down our building or something. Hope you all are having an enjoyable day.

Oh PL, so sorry to hear that you are still having problems with that nasty neighbor. Sar, we don't have the steel roof on over the deck yet. The steel hasn't come in yet. Since we put the steel on the house roof, we can't hear the on it at all. Must be insulation blocking it out. So we will hear it for sure on the deck roof. It will be nice to sit out there on warm rainy days. The weather is still hot here, until Friday anyway. I'm going to help clean the cabins this week, then back to work at the lodge next week for a couple weeks for fall bear hunting. I hope she waits until Friday to clean the cabins, that's going to be the coolest day. It would be so hot doing it when the temperatures are so high. The cabins are small, no a/c, but each one does a fan. We did some biking on Saturday and Sunday. It was nice. It was only too hot if we stopped for a bit like we did at the foot bridge and to get ice cream at a canteen/restaurant in the next town. After this week I would assume we could get frost. We've been getting too many tomatoes and cucumbers anyway so I don't mind cleaning the garden out. I've got to mow the lawn again this week, hopefully for the last time this season. I hope everyone is well and enjoying the day. It is nice to see fall coming but not liking what comes after. lol

never thought I'd look forward to a frost but with 92 + all week again, I am ready for sweaters and fleece!
I hope you get the roof done before the cold cold weather comes..
I saw one almanac saying we would have a warmer and wetter winter here...
we don't even have a breeze today, so I cant imagine what PL has to deal with..
we get manure on fields, it is all part of country living, but when they do 5000 acrea with round up and i taste it for days, and lost so many outside animals to diffferent cancers I get really upset with the way think are done here...
waving to GG, Kona, Summer Breeze, Light feather, plan b , SJ, and Blue, or anyone else coming by to sit out on the porch for a while!

It is another hot day here. I'm not complaining, not really. I just hug the AC a lot. LOL!
This week the Lions Club (Lisbon & West Point clubs) are making the apple dumplings for sale at the Johnny Appleseed Festival the 15th and 16th. It is a lot of fun to help make them. Hope the weather is good for the festival. SAR, remember when it used to set up on Thursday and hit the ground running on Friday morning? And it tied up the entire square? Now only two days and it is the south side of the square and Washington Street.

Still muggy here (I was drenched in sweat after a couple of quick errands this morning) but it looks like things will get much wetter and a little cooler as tropical storm Gordon works its way up here to Illinois and then maybe over to Ohio this weekend. Watch out, SAR and GG! Hope you get your deck covered soon, CSue. It will be nice to be able to go out there when it's raining and hopefully it will help keep some of the snow off of it. Glad your garden did so well. What little I have hasn't been that productive between the excessive heat, having to move them into the shade and not being able to take care of them as much as usual. The neighbor has been quiet and I haven't smelled anything since Sunday. I would like to think she will change but I'm not holding my breath. Picking up Hannah and Wyatt from school tomorrow and then she has a home volleyball game and has to be there at 5:15 so we will probably get something to eat and meet Sarah there when she gets off work. SAR, living by all that chemical spraying is a horrible way to live also. I still can't help but wonder if that contributed to what happened to Dan. Sending to everyone.

He was certainly entertaining over the years. Sad to see him go but then he was 82 (and sadly a long time smoker) :( The is moving in from tropical storm Gordon now and may dump anywhere from 2 to 6 inches over the next three days. Not as bad as areas north of us but still plenty. I only had three hours sleep last night so after I got the kids and Sarah picked them up, I decided I was just too tired to go to Hannah's volleyball game. :( So many things going on this weekend in the area but I imagine most will be affected by all the . Waving to all who stop by.

Will do Sue. (((hugs))) I'm on the laptop so thought I'd stop in. It's been crazy hot & humid here too. Cooled down a bit yesterday but we will be back to the extreme heat & humidity by mid week. I say enough already too! I wish we could have Autumn weather all year round. So much going on here. Mom was in ER the other night. She is better now. Every time the phone rings I'm worried something happened to one of them... We were there most of the day today just helping out. They still live in their house so there is always something to do. I do try to check here in every day from my phone and always have you guys in my thoughts & prayers. I'm just gonna try to chill a bit now and for Sue. Night all. Take care.
