I got your email, Sar. So terrifying! It's heartbreaking that you had to experience that. I hope it can be resolved soon so you can be calm and relaxed in your own home.
Kona, I'm glad your Mom is better. I hope she stays well.
Is it still raining there, PL?
We had frost last night but I had picked all my tomatoes and cucumbers anyway so I didn't have to worry about it. I still have carrots in the garden but I'll leave them until after I am done work at the camps. I was down Friday and helped her clean the 6 cabins. We got it done in 5 hours.
Yesterday we went for a bike drive. Kept getting lost on new trails so we decided to stick to the trails we know. Met up with a co-worker of Billy's on his motorcycle, had a big chat with him. Then met up with some of family members out for a bike drive so we went along with them, stopped a couple times to chat. It was a great day.
I hope all is well and enjoying the day.

is done here, CSue. We got about 4 inches but other areas around us got more. Hard to believe you had frost already! We typically don't get that here until October or November. SAR, glad you got to sleep so well this morning. Glad you didn't get so much that you flooded. It was cooler today so got to open the doors and get fresh air today....until the neighbor decided to gas me with her dryer fumes. Hoping everyone is doing well tonight!

Well, it's looking like Florence could make it all the way into Ohio. I am so hoping that my uncle evacuated his home on the coast of NC. He's so stubborn but I don't think this storm will be survivable right on the coast. A tropical depression in the gulf of Mexico may also be forming into a hurricane and hitting the gulf coast. What a month! www.facebook.com/fox26houston/videos/549539835476598/

I hope he leaves this is a big one! PL!
I am waiting for supplies and then the security will be installed. I need to run errands but not leaving till this place is secure. I am sure it will be ok, but I am still shaky about it all!

You have every right to be shaky about it! Hope it's taken care of now.
Hurricane has turned to the south now so headed towards TN and IL. Not sure if it will be stopped by a high pressure system or just turned back toward you. Ugh. No matter what, millions are gonna get very wet.

SAR, why were you shaking? Now I'm worried. :( Please for my uncle. The stubborn 76 year old coot decided to stay and ride out the storm....right on the coast of NC where the hurricane is about to hit. He's done this before but the hurricanes were never this bad. Only slept 3 1/2 hours, then a little while ago was sitting on the edge of the office chair and it tipped over on me, trapping me under it next to the desk. Scraped my arm and landed on my good knee and trying to get up from this hard floor on my bad knees was painful to say the least. I guess it could have been worse, though. Thankfully I already had an appointment with the chiro later this morning. Have to pick up the grandkids from school and keep them until it's time for Hannah's volleyball game and will meet Sarah there. Hope I can get a nap in there somewhere.... Spent a long time on the phone yesterday with a housing supervisor who seemed sympathetic and patient as I explained some of the problems here. Not holding my breath that anything will be done but praying that it helped anyway. Just very down today, as if something bad is coming.....

SAR, the latest projected path of Florence shows it turning toward you....like you need more ! time.com/5391394/hurricane-florence-track-path/Hope you will be less shaky the next time you go out. No nap yesterday but I managed to get the kids, feed them, and then get them to the game where Sarah showed up as soon as she got off work. I got to see some of Hannah's volleyball game but just wasn't up to staying. In pain today so luckily I could take the day off. As usual, Wyatt was a live wire. I started walking laps around the apartment to burn off some energy so I had him start counting the laps. After about 20 he was hot so took off his shirt and did 10 more. When we got to the gym before Hannah's game, the school principal let him run laps around the side of the gym the girls weren't practicing on for a little while.

Haven't heard anything from my uncle so no way of knowing how he is. The only thing I can find out about where he lives is "No major damage was reported, although a number of trees and power lines were blown down." so I imagine he has no power. Yes, wish we could bottle Wyatt's energy! Even though he isn't blood related to Ryan, he is high energy like Ryan was. Back to hot and a bit humid and looks like it will stay that way for a few days but very little chance of any expected. Hope Florence fizzles out before it comes your way, SAR.
