Met the handy man guy (Ed) a friend highly recommended, sure hope it works out, felt like he was an old friend! felt so comfortable around him and we talked like we knew each other for years! Sure hope this works out and I get the cats situated and I can start taking my home back! I cooked BBQ ribs in the crock and OH MY they were wonderful, I could see Dan eating them until he'd get sick! have enough for several meals this week. still dealing with a head ache..have to wonder if it is Earth related. I again left the 2 groups of cats out together with me monitoring... it would be a wonderful gift if they play nice and I can get them all into one building! then work on the garage and slowly take back my house! it is a bit after 7 and I want to check my emails and still have outside things to do... love and prayers... Have a great evening!

Sounds like Ed may be a good helper, SAR. Got my fingers crossed! Hot and humid here too although it only actually got up to 90 once so far. Fighting heat rashes already so staying inside as much as possible. Hopefully tomorrow going to attend the trial of the young man accused of murdering that college student in 2014. SAR, you know the one I mean as we both got visions pertaining to what happened to him. I can't wait for all of the information to come out in court because it's looking more and more like we were right. A retired teacher friend brought a group of kids (must be from vacation Bible school) to my door yesterday morning with a bag of goodies for me...snacks, a search a word book, pen, tablet, etc. and a handmade card. So sweet. I also found out that my high school classmates are not allowing me to pay for our class picture and the guy I met with last week will meet me Monday to give it to him. Wish I could think of something nice to give him. Any suggestions? Love to all.

well I am hoping Ed works out but so far no call as to his scheldule. one thing I am learning is to only count on myself, it is wonderful to have friends and some actually help, they are treasures. but not everyone has time for others when their plate is so full and I do understand that. I was hoping he'd be a good fit.
as far as a little something for your friend... do you make anything like jams or maybe one of your plants? or something not so personal would be a gift bag with candy or coffee and a donut voucher?
please let me know how the trial goes... sometimes I do not get on till late and I can only follow so many things. :)

Thanks for the suggestions, SAR. I'll keep those in mind. I hope you hear from Ed when he will be able to help. It's always hard to be kept in limbo.
Spent the last two days in the courtroom at the murder trial and I'm beat. It may last another full week and there are still apparently several witnesses for the prosecution to be brought in. Some of the lies by the perp and his family began to be exposed today. A friend went with me (can you believe she's the ex-wife of the pervert who lived next door to me last year?) We had a nice visit during the 30 minute drive each way and although she was apprehensive about going, she found it highly interesting. At least she can come here now without worrying about her nasty ex being here!
Already tired of the heat and humidity and summer hasn't officially even started yet! Hope everyone is keeping cool!

After I posted yesterday I laid down and slept the entire evening, got up for awhile and then went back to sleep for another 3 hours. This morning I'm still tired and having trouble getting motivated. I was going to hit some yard sales but can't deal with the heat and humidity. While I was at the courthouse yesterday, the detective in Ryan's case showed up so talked with him for a few minutes. Nothing new in Ryan's case, unfortunately. Such a difference between family and friends of the young man accused of the murder and the family and supporters of the young man killed sitting on separate sides of the courtroom. The perp's family mostly uneducated, some reeking of cigarette smoke while victim's side mostly clean, educated professional people. It was interesting to watch how the prosecution was proving how many lies were told by the man accused, yet we know that he still has to be proven guilty of an actual murder. The perp is known as a drug user and dealer, no job, while the victim was majoring in criminal justice at the university and working part time as a delivery boy. Can't go Monday but will try to get back there Tuesday. As far as the ex-wife of the creep who used to live next door to me, it is obvious that she is still suffering from the years of abuse at his hands. I let her talk and vent. Despite years of counseling I can see that she is still suffering. Hope you all are having a good weekend!

I hope you got the help you needed for the cat fence, SAR. We actually got a good yesterday but most of the heavy storms went around us the last few days. Hope you didn't get flooding! Did meet up with my high school classmate Gary and got my class memorabilia....photos, a class of '68 wine glass, name tag, pens, etc. in a very nice specially made carrier. When I met with him the other time he told me about how he moved to Tennessee and planned to go fishing with a friend there but had been so busy he hadn't got around to it. I bought him a fishing hat. ;) Wasn't feeling well so missed the trial the last two days and since it's Robert's birthday not going today either. I hope tomorrow. Made Robert his favorite kind of birthday cake and we will be eating out later. Got another Facebook request from someone who was a friend of my sister Donna in childhood and lived in our neighborhood. She was sad to hear that Donna and my brother Tony were both deceased. We chatted and shared info about people we knew back then. Facebook is an amazing way to touch base with people you haven't seen in years! Time to get busy. Hope everyone is keeping cool and having a good week.

The trial ended tonight. The murderer was found guilty and is in police custody! Many prayers answered! Worn out as I was there all day.

That's great news Plantlady! It's always nice to see justice served. Glad you got to catch up with your friend from school. Hope you are feeling better and that Robert had a nice birthday.
Glad you got to rest Sue. I sure wish you would find more time for that! Hope you are getting good people there to help you with the rest of your projects. You've done so much already. That has to give you a lot of satisfaction.
Been pretty busy here. Everyone is well which is good. The weather is all over the place. It's cold today and should be in the 90's by Monday! I like it cooler myself but I know so many have been waiting for summer to arrive.
Hello to GG, CSue and all others stopping by. Wishing all of you a nice & relaxing weekend!

We're getting temps in the 90's every day but with the heat index it's over 100. I'm staying in as much as possible. During the trial yesterday I wasn't drinking much water so I wouldn't have to keep going to the bathroom during the proceedings and on my feet too much. By last night my left leg from the knee to the foot was badly swollen. I've been elevating my leg and drinking lots of water and it's getting better. It was stupid of me, knowing that I only have one kidney! Kona, I could do with a little of that cooler weather right now! It's not even officially summer yet but it's miserable already. It was late last night before the jury announced their verdict. When the defendant heard them say "guilty" he got sick and vomited in a little trash container. I feel sad for him and his family, yet the way they treated and badmouthed the family of the deceased young man all these months was terrible and they are continuing to do it on Facebook. No remorse, no empathy, and of course they don't believe their thug son committed a murder. Hope everyone has a good weekend.
