SAR. I'm sure Dan is still with and around you and knew you were thinking about him on his birthday. Praying for good weather for Saturday to make your day easier. It did finally here during the night and this morning so at least my car is red again instead of yellow. My neighbor Russell left this morning with his new bride, moving to Washington state. We are really going to miss him around here. I wish it was my next door neighbor who was moving! Sending love to all today.

I thought I would take this week and rest after pulling myself apart for 5 months preparing for the memorial... nooooooope!. seems not. So every day since Sat. I have been busy gathering things that belong to others that were sweet enough to leave stuff here... but now it is time to keep moving forward....so today I get an early start as I have someone coming at 5ish for a business meeting of sorts (Realtor).. and as I am going in and out, because my delivery guy must have been a NEW driver and left my chewy boxes of 4 bags of cat food and 2 boxes of Fresh step in mud and the dripped all over the boxes.. there I was cutting away wet cardboard, lifting 22 lbs at a time to get the cat food out of the damp and wet... when low and behold my inside cats are going berserk in a corner of the front room... OH no.. PLEASE do not be a SNAKE....... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!! well He heard me it was a feral kitten that I never saw near the door, she scooted in and that was that, for the next 3 HOURS... I kitten meowed till my throat hurts, moved everything she could squeeze behind and she settle UNDER the 1000 lb, solid wood corner cabinet. I am sitting there with meat and meowing and praying, and turn around I have a "bleacher" full of my inside cats in front row seats. God (and my meowing) is good! I caught the little thing and she is happily nursing with siblings and being washed by mama! so onward, got the furniture back in place, washed floors, and need a break! oh ..it is 2:30.. Maybe I can squeeze in my first cup of coffee? sorry no pics... my hands were full and I did not even think about it!

Yes, very proud of our wonderful Hannah. Ryan would be beaming. I posted pictures on Facebook. SAR, hope you found those keys you were looking for! Worked outside this morning before it turned hot. Don't have much planted other than since our building obviously has a water leak and I'm not sure what they will be doing about it. Ugh....it's always something! Hope you are all having a GOOD day.

got up with a head ache but worked through it, ran errands after the cat chores were done... went to see Shirley H, my friend in the Alzheimers nursing home... she knew me ..... told me to give Dan a big hug from her, and Lynn was in the bathroom.. ummm Lynn passed away the week after Dan...
then had Vera come to help eat up left overs, then she left and Phyllis called , came and ate more left overs and had a good chat...she left a bit before 8 pm so I am just getting on here. She is 5 yrs into widow-hood. I am tired .

it was hot and humid today 93! I wrestled the AC in the sun room last night.. but today I had to move totes, wheel chairs, rollators, and water jugs to get to the new AC for the bedroom. well I got it and then started pitching cat stank things!
the AC is sitting in on the table but I need a guy to install as it has to sit on a platform and I can not do all that.
so much for prepping I am throwing out water jugs and boxes of preps like paper products, all kinds of things that will be easier to buy if I need them. this is hard for me cause I always pinched pennies and saved and reused everything. but if I want to down size and eventually move it has to start somewhere.... garage is a good place to start. hope everyone is having a safe holiday .

SAR, hope you aren't throwing away new items that you might need. Any chance of donating them to a women's shelter or some other organization? Sounds like you really have a lot of "stuff". Been there done that! Mostly staying inside today. Worked outside yesterday and started getting the stinking heat rashes. Ugh, they drive me crazy. Both boys are working today. Lots going on this weekend but I've done little. Would have liked to hear the Beach Boys perform Saturday night, but.... Hope everyone is well!

PL I donate to all kinds of orgs that benefit the less fortunate I just use the term Good Will... but dont give them too much.
the stuff I am pitching has cat smell, anything that is clean or wash able I will put to donate. I worked so hard yesterday in the heat.. and no smell in garage by the time I called them in and shut the door.. but this morning, opened the door from kitchen and STINK. this humidity makes it worse. doesnt help I am so sensitive to smells... but glad I am, some would not smell it and leave it. .. I smell if and clean clean clean.. so if there is such a think as CLEAN STINK...lol that is here.
when I get them out of the house I can start getting one room at a time done, rip up laminates clean, seal, and install new. I am also going to redo door frames that have been scratched.
I am really wanting to start moving forward but these cats have to be dealt with in a way I can live with...
I have several ideas that would/could work... just need the help and this is not like help cleaning or yard work...1st a fence to divide the fenced in yard.. so shed cats could stay out under the shade tress most of the day instead of having to be put away.... then the garage cats could basically stay out 24 -7 if I have someone to re inforce the weak spots they might try to get out. then with them out, I could strip the garage disinfect everything seal the floor and move the house cats to garage... come fall hopefully I can have a divider installed so the original garage cats could be in the garage during the coldest part of winter.
and as I said there are more expensive ways, but this would be economically quick and when the last few cats are gone easy enough to undo.
I know something will manifest for me to grab onto, either a group, or a few friends, or something....basically I would love to start my new life, but they are a weight/burden.. but I can not euthanize healthy ones and they are getting up there so guess I will see what the Good Lord has for me in answers.
please do not suggest agencies. I have been through all of them... and now spring time they are always over whelmed. I have 2 choices try to get them out of the house and take back my domain or kill them.. I can not face God killing them just for me own agenda.
I know something will work out.
hope all have a safe holiday ..

I want to check to see how everyone has been doing for the past couple of weeks. Everyone sure is busy. I had a good first week at the camps, the guests were all very nice. I had last week off as the owners' daughter-in-law worked that week. On Wednesday morning Billy and I headed to the hospital a 2 hour drive away. It's the same hospital where I had been taking Gabby for dialysis and where he died. Billy had appointments for lots of tests on his . The first day they checked him out, did a chest x-ray, bloodwork and an ECG. The second day he had a dye test. I was worried about how that one was going to come out, but it was great! He doesn't have any blockages! He has a weak muscle and the medication will help and there's some things he can do too, like eating right and walking short distances to help build it up. We were going to stay another night at the hotel after the dye test but he wanted to come home. He wasn't supposed to drive so I drove home. We booked Fred into a kennel while we were gone. I could tell by the look on Billy's face when we took him there that it bothered him as much as it did me to leave him there. But it all worked out. Fred liked the people who owns the kennel, but he was happy to go home when we picked him up. I'm working at the camps again this week. The new guests are all nice people too. Hope everyone is well and your day is going great.
