Hello All! I'm tired too from reading all you are doing Sue! Looks like you are in good shape with the house and food for Dan's life celebration. I'm sure you still want to do more. We always worry about things not looking "right" when others think everything looks beautiful. Don't push too hard. I'm glad you find time to visit with friends for a bit during all of your work. That sounds like quite a deal for the yard clean up. Good for you for getting him up even higher!!! GG and her family have been in my thoughts and prayers as well as Nettie. How terrible for her to lose her daughter so unexpectedly. I'm sure the 6 hour drive will be very taxing on her physically as well. Glad you are finally "thawed" out up there CSue! We had a very wet winter too. I think we got much more than snow but didn't have flooding like what you guys did. Glad Fred likes his seat covers. Anything that make clean up easier is great too! Good luck starting work again up at the camps. We hope to go to Maine for a couple of days next week before the busy season starts at the end of the month. I just love this weather; warm in the day and cooler nights! My stomach finally started feeling better a couple of days after I last posted. It was weird since it seemed like it was every other day for week. Better than every day for a week though! My chicken cacciatore was delicious and enjoyed (for days) by all of us. My Mom used to make it when she was able and we all loved it. Been very busy; me helping Mom & Dad and DH in the yard. As I told a friend earlier, we are working hard but not for money! LOL Labors of love. Take care all and Happy Mother's Day in case I don't get back on for a while. (I had to get the laptop out to do paperwork) It's so nice since I see all of the "pretties" and it's so easy to type & Post!

CSue and SAR, it wears me out to read how much you do! Praying for Billy and so glad the water is going down. That flooding was unreal! SAR, I hope you are holding up with everything going on. Kona, glad you are doing better! The funeral for Nettie's daughter was today in Wisconsin. I hope she is holding up okay. She turns 89 on May 15. I plan to go see her when she gets back. My holistic doctor friend is in the last hours of her life. Her partner says she is "transitioning". I don't remember how old she is exactly but I'm thinking late 50's. My is aching for her family and I am saddened that such a wonderful human being who tried to do so much good is leaving us. Decided that it would be just too difficult for me to go to my 50 year class reunion June 2. It's been so nice connecting again with my classmates after all these years on Facebook though. I hope tomorrow brings good things to all. Now off to .....

I for a peaceful transition for your friend, PL... that was the term they used for Dan....."he is transitioning.." for about the last week. sad, but it was nice to think he was gently going between 2 worlds ...kinda getting his "wings" so to speak. I have spent 2 days outside and in dirt and plants.. and transplanting and looks great. getting down to the last 8 days.... so I will rest tonight then hit the flor tomorrow and scooping up all things not to be in the rooms! I will bag them and stick them in the barn and hope nothing ruins them for a week! hope everyone has a safe and good week-end.

Happy Mother's Day to all today. The boys came by last night to visit since Robert will be working long hours today. It's bittersweet since Ryan isn't with us. My is also aching for my friend Nettie who lost her daughter a week ago and for my doctor friend Linda who passed away on Friday. She left behind four sons, 3 granddaughters and two grandsons. My own mother passed away in 1985. Prayers for GG's family as they deal with the loss of their loved one. It's turned hot and I had to break down and turn on the a/c. So much for spring I guess. SAR, I hope it's not overly hot since you are so busy working outside! Hope you all are having an enjoyable weekend.

Happy Mother's Day to everyone! pl, so sorry for the loss of your Dr friend. Kona, I imagine you are spending the day with your mom. In a week from today, the big day will be done and over.... I called a number and had a landscaper just starting out in business come give me an estimate to get the front flower bed presentable and mulch it. and if there is time to clean up my courtyard... I do not mind paying for help at this point. my body is about to refuse to support me, and I need to rest for next week-end. lease say a prayer this guys' crew can whip it all in shape in time! and that we have beautiful weather for Fri and sat. must keep moving ...... my back yard is under water so I can not imagine me having it out back....

I tried to eat but I am hurting so bad (back and neck) I took a pain pill, and you know how I do not like to have to resort to that! sigh. they will be here 7 am... I have so many things to pull together I have started writting things to myself. next week I just want to sleep! if you can spare a prayer, .. that my body holds up and gets me through this... and... Or else the Hawaiian volcano is getting ready to blow.
Flood watch tonight; we've had storms at least every other day. Today is one of those "feels like" 95 days - very humid - and the tree pollen is finally taking it's toll. I was OK until the last couple days. I broke down and turned on the a/c... and started cleaning up the pollen inside. Front porch got washed first - that took all day one day - but I was leaving footprints in the yellow dust. It had to go; I will be out on the front porch until it's below zero; it's my other living room.

Holy moley, SAR. When it rains it pours, literally. Praying you will be able to have the strength and stamina to get through all of this. sacajawea, I don't think I've EVER seen as much pollen covering everything as I have lately. It's hard to even tell my car is red. They keep promising a little that might wash it off but so far it keeps going around us. Worked outside for a couple of hours yesterday morning and was drenched in sweat because of the humidity. Went to see Nettie to take her the sympathy card signed by all the neighbors and a card and little cake for her 89th birthday today. She's still sharp as a tack but I fear that grief may weaken her at her age. She cried in my arms and I told her to let the tears keep flowing as much as she needed to. Rob and I grabbed lunch out today and he took me to see the new Avengers movie. Lots of special effects and some humor, but I don't think I'd watch it again. to all who stop by. Wonder how BF is doing these days?

This year, I think I live in a forest. It's been raining steadily since last night... and the flood watch has been extended to SATURDAY. It's just this one spot on the radar that keeps spinning and dropping too. And my temps have gone back to 10 degrees below normal again. Which is great - for opening windows - but I have to clean the second batch of pollen (a lot lighter) off the porch again. I guess when I go out to pick up my soggy mail, I'd better check that the overflow on the pond dam is clear. I've not seen it so high before. SAR - remember to sit down and eat! It only takes 10-15 mins. You'll feel better and keep up better.

Wow, Sacajawea and SAR it sounds like you've really been getting the . It's keeps avoiding us for some reason and we are starting to really need it, especially since there is a big water main break in our regional water supply system today and towns are running out of water, closing schools and businesses and asking people to conserve water and not water gardens, wash cars, etc. even if their town still has water. I still have it here but am using it as little as possible. Hoping there will be no fires to deal with while the water is down in some towns. Hawaii's Kilauea volcano has finally erupted, exploding ash 30,000 feet into the air. Prayers for all those affected. Just feels like a strange day!

Spent the day on the tractor trying to mow for Sat. and not get stuck in the mud! tomorrow is final preps and food put on the trays and tables to get ready.
today is my beloveds 66 birthday, and his 1st one in Heaven.
as I was mowing and getting things done.. I heard his voice.. "you done good , Babe.." he'd say that to me when I was stressed and in crunch time about something. I smiled and said, "Happy Birthday, Baby!"
so the weather lady says on and off showers Sat. prayers that we are able to have it outside.!
