Sar, it's beautiful outside here today, feels like summer. The snow is almost gone. Not so great for the people in the city, the river has flooded and causing a lot of problems. Billy has been leaving work a little early so he can get across one of the bridges before the rush hour starts. Heavy is forecasted for tonight and tomorrow and that sure won't help. Billy's appointment went good, he's doing great so far. Me and the were out and I cleaned the yard up a lot. Now he can get under the deck and dig holes again, and track mud into the house. I've been doing a lot of scrubbing lately. lol I hope everyone is having a fine day!

CSue, I've been seeing the pictures you posted on Facebook of the flooding. Oh man, that's terrible. Like what we had last year. Mud is not fun. Glad Billy is doing okay. It's about 80 degrees here too, SAR. It was in the upper 70's yesterday so got outside and did some clean up and even a little planting. Cars are literally covered with yellow pollen! As far as my neighbor, my front porch is the one place I can breathe clean air as the building sticks out between our porches (where our bedrooms are). Haven't smelled anything inside for a couple of days but no telling how long it will take to get my sinuses unswelled and better again, providing she stops. Housing posted the smoking ban rules that go into effect July 1st at their office and one of the things I noticed on it is that tenants will be able to file a lawsuit against neighbors who smoke inside their apartments or within 25 feet of the buildings. She's known that this was coming for a year yet is still smoking, sadly. One of the other neighbors called housing and also the police about my neighbor's that pulled on her pantleg and uses her front yard to go to the bathroom. I watch sometimes and I see my neighbor let her out and it makes a beeline for that lady's yard for that! Being considerate seems to be a difficult concept for her. Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the nice weather. Finally....SPRING!

Hi all! It's in the 80s here today too. I happen to be cooking today and had to put on the AC where as two tonight's ago we needed the heat!
Glad to hear Billy made out well CSue. At least Fred is keeping the damage (digging) outside and only the mud inside. He could be ripping up the whole house inside!
Hope you're able to continue getting fresh air on your front porch plantlady. I'm very sorry for the loss of your friend. (((hugs)))
Hope you're making some time to rest Sue! Sounds like you have things looking pretty good around there. I'm sure everyone who attends the Celebration of Dan's life will be very comfortable and impressed with your house and property.
My stomach's been a little topsy-turvy the past few days. I think something may be going around. If I hadn't promised my mom some chicken cacciatore I certainly wouldn't be making it today! Think I'm just gonna have some oatmeal for dinner tonight.
Hello to all others stopping in. Take care and finally we can say stay cool!

My dining room is so clean and neat and organized and we took apart windows that had not been cleaned on the inside in 15 yrs. they look beautiful but they already started to fog up, we saw where the caulk was bad so maybe her husband can find time to re caulk and re seal. so everything is clean but I still have to do the sun room and it is huge, 44 by 12.5 ft. so that and the yard clean up continues. I washed curtains and hung them out .. they were dry in 10 minutes. we can only smell cat in one area and that is where the litter boxes are, so I will be scrubbing that several times before the 19th. I bet Fred is having a glorious time, CSue... and so glad Billy got a great report. PL, I hope she moves or you can cause her to stop... I can;t imagine.... Heather wants me to move to a condo, that is exactly why I need my OWN PLACE! Kona, I hope you feel better by now... and I bet that chicken cacciatore is good! prayers for GG and her husband, as his sister is in hospice and not doing well.... praying for an easy passing and for Fred who is taking it hard. GG is the glue that holds it all together for everyone. waving to all that pop in.

Seems like we went straight from late winter to summer. LOL Today it is absolutely gorgeous outside...in the 70's. I went by a couple of yard sales, hit the farmer's market, and then the food coop where everything was 10 percent off for members today. When I got home my neighbor was outside so I went up and talked to her about a possible leak we have from our building, about her plants and then I hugged her and told her how much I appreciated her not smoking in the apartment (it's been several days now) and how my sinuses are finally starting to clear up. I hope that's the end of it. Kona, I hope you are over whatever that stomach thing was by now. It's hard to function when you don't feel well! SAR, it must feel good to be getting so much spring cleaning done! I'm making small progress here and there so I'll have to be content with that. Praying for GG's sister in law and for their family. It's never easy to watch your loved one leave you. Got word last night that my former holistic doctor who moved to Hawaii is in the hospital in very serious condition although I don't know what she is dealing with. Her partner/boyfriend posted it and asked for prayers for her and her family so it sounds like it may be life threatening. My is aching. She was my rock, my friend, and my physician for several years after Ryan passed away and I've missed her so much since she moved away. for a complete recovery for her. Hope everyone is enjoying a pleasant weekend!

So nice that you are getting so much help, SAR. There really are some good people in the world. Sad day today. My former neighbor Nettie (who is in a nursing home) called me a little while ago and told me that her daughter Sharon passed away in church this morning of a stroke or aneurism or something. Sharon is a year or two younger than me and had been fine up until today. I talked to her most of the times she came to visit Nettie when Nettie was still in the apartment. She lived up in the northern part of the state, about a 6 hour drive, so Nettie will be traveling there with her son and daughter in law. Nettie previously lost her other son. It's so hard to understand why such things happen. Please keep Nettie in your prayers. She is so fragile. :(

will hold Nettie in my prayers..
we just had a strong storm go through then I saw a bright full rainbow! Thank you Lord.. I always feel blessed when I see a full rainbow,
Brandon came and we got the table torn apart and put together it looks so nice. I cant paint it for 6 months so maybe next spring.
I had a thought so I made up some shelves out of wood here and will bag some of the totes and put them in the barn till after the memorial that go through one a day.
also since no one will be able to help get the cats out before the gathering, I am trying to get the yard divided into 2.. that way I can let both groups out all day and get more cleaning in the garage done. so I am getting closer and closer to getting it looking good!
but OH IO am so tired.
tomorrow the fed ex man is coming to fix the mess they made in the drive, it has been too wet..
then I have to go pick up Deb at the auto place, she will get the breaks done and clean here 3 hrs then I will run her back there.
Tues, penny is coming, just needs to get out for away.
this is the week I want most all things done so I can concentrate on food and decorating and resting the last week before.
prayers continue for GG it is very close now.

to day, I felt good so you know me, when I feel good I do 3 days work cause I might be day a day or two. I got up, did all cat chores... then pulled the pork and reheated it in Kentucky Bourbon and brown sugar,, BBG sauce... then I was able to mow front and 2 half sides, the back is still water logged, but it looks beautiful! yesterday I got 3 big brush piles burned to the ground cause it is to and be windy the rest of this week. so I got the 20 lbs of Pulled pork done,. then the tree guy that offered me 6000.00 to go through our woods last year.. and was so pushy I got nasty with him and said, my husband is dying what part of NO do you not get..!? lol he stopped today and said "remember me"? I said I sure do.. he said did your husband pass, I said yes. anyway this yr. the offer is 18,000.00 cash and they clean up when done. I said come in June... and it would have to be 20,000.00 cash and clean up! he said.. ok! so we'll see. that would pay for a concrete drive! then I started on phone calls..got just about everything in place for medicare. I still had to finish up because it can only be done 3 months prior., then I started in the Sun room, and after I got the pulled pork in freezer bags and labeled.. I cleaned a head of cauliflower and it is cooked in the crock pot. I scrubed the sun room litter pans and putting clutter in boxes to deal with later,.. ruight now I just ate some mashed potatoes and the BBQ pork over it... and my back is saying.. you will feel me so I might have to wait till tomorrow to work on the front of the barn and transplant some pretty ..... prayers for all!

Sar, I'm played out just from reading all that you have been doing! That's a great offer you got on the tree cutting and I hope you get the paved drive. So sorry to hear about the illnesses and deaths of friends and family members. Sending hugs to GG and family. PL, that's great that your neighbor isn't sending her cigarette smoke your way anymore. Kona, I hope your upset stomach didn't last long. Yes, it's good that Fred can get outside and dig and do stuff around the yard instead of in the house. He already tore the walls and floors up last year. lol He's not destructive in the house anymore but we have to get around and fix it all up now. Not sure when we will get that done. We are going to build a 2 vehicle garage before next winter. Billy can't do a much physical work now with his condition so I've been cleaning snow off the truck all winter mostly by myself. The flood waters in the city have gone down a lot the past few days. The flooding lasted so long!! A lot of clean up to be done over there now. The community outside the city limits is a lot of farm land and residential, they got the flooding the worse. I feel so bad for those people and the businesses. We always like to go to the Country Pumpkin and buy fresh vegetables and baking and see the animals. Piper's birthday party one year was held there. There's a great playground there too. Everything was under water, so sad. We parked the car out behind the house and it was covered with so much snow that we were afraid it wasn't going to melt out before I go to work at the camps, but it did. It works great except the air conditioning. Billy will be driving it to work and he can't go without the AC. So I took it over to town yesterday to a garage to have it fixed and Billy came down after work and picked me and Fred up. We got hammock style seat covers for the backseats of the car and truck to keep hair off them. It works great! They attach to the headrests of the back and front seats. hair doesn't stick to it and can be easily taken out and shaken off. Fred likes his new seat covers. He didn't want to get out of the car after his first drive sitting on it. lol I start work at the camps on Monday. I got my little garden all tilled up and ready to plant. Can't plant much here until all danger of frost is past, usually by June 10. I got the floors swept and scrubbed and not much else to do inside today so I will be out in the yard this afternoon. Have a great day everyone.
