Spring has delayed a bit here as we await nor'easter #3 which will begin later this afternoon and continue on until late tomorrow and dump over a foot of snow on us. That's 3 storms in a week. lol Oh well, nothing we can do about it. It will be awhile before I see my garden.
We got our roof shoveled off yesterday anyway. And with the high winds coming with this storm, I will get prepared in case of a power outage again. Eastern U.S. had these storms bad too and they made their way on up here. Surely this will be the last storm for this season!

CSue, we had a complete white out here about 10:30 it was awesome and upsetting all at once, lol!
Sunday it is to be 60!
I am trying to come here and play but I just have to keep on this VA paperwork stuff, then I can concentrate on the board and things I WANT to do not HAVE to do!
before noon today I had 3 calls, and the Tractor and mower picked up for Spring tune ups, and letters mailed and important calls to return on Medicare. then I get calls concerning the claim with the VA ugh....
People told me this could take more then a yr. so I try to get done what I can do when the issues hit.
Yesterday ended as a good day, but I had a rough start, more dreams of Dan, I either have wonderful, loving dreams, or horrible , sad dreams. it was the latter yesterday. :( but mostly I am good.
I cried on my cleaning lady's shoulder then I was good and we got a lot done in the kitchen.... baby steps wins the race!
hope everyone has a great day!

I'm sorry you all are still dealing with the cold and snow. :( It's not all that warm here but no snow and the warmer weather is coming soon. I've been seeing daffodils blooming and today even noticed dandelions in the yard. SAR, so glad you are getting help with cleaning. I'm sure she didn't mind you crying on her shoulder. Trying to figure out other options for moving out of here. I'm so tired of being sick from the fumes from next door and she has made it clear she doesn't care. I cannot relax nor feel comfortable living here anymore. And now time to rest my knees with the heating pad and get my afternoon nap. Stay safe and warm, everyone!

Oh no, SAR, I hope you got to rest up yesterday and are feeling better today. I really am concerned that you are pushing yourself too much. Did physical therapy this morning and then the chiro. My leg muscles are doing better and strengthening so it has been helping. The physical therapist is suggesting an injection for my left knee because of the osteoarthritis pain so am looking into that option. It's going to be in the 60's with sunshine here today so hoping to work outside after lunch. Also hoping to send the warmer weather up to those of you still with snow and cold. Cooler, rainy weather coming tomorrow and then a little warm up after that. May the luck 'o the Irish be with you all this week!

PL, I was up and got the house cleaned and floors mopped and counters cleaned, did cat chores, and then ran errands, I got a lot done today, got litter on sale so unloaded 250 lbs in 25 lb bags. I went to the feed store and paid for the fencing to repair my cat fence and to start the process of getting the kitties out of the house and into the new digs! I got t posts for more fencing and 400 lbs of pellet bedding that I use for the shed and garage cats .. it is natural and biodegrable so it was on sale and it will last me till fall. my friend will go with his truck and get the order tomorrow. I feel like I am seeing things getting done, even though you can;t see anything done....lol I will rest long enough when I am gone! lol!
Seriously once I get all of it done and pulled together my life will really be so much less stress.. heck I might start doing things again... and having company in that is not just animal owners!
then I did a grocery run and I got enough that I should not have to shop again for a month.
so I am tired but it is a very good tired!
I have 4 people interested in Dan;s car and several interested in some of my horse show stuff.
yeah it was a productive day!

Good plan on the groceries, SAR. I just checked my long range weather report - it's cringeworthy. Lows in the teens at night through next weekend, at least. I'm still expecting an Easter snow storm this year. I'm still kinda amazed that there is a wildfire advisory for my area this morning. Relative humidity is very low and I was up early enough to hear the wind "machine" start up again. My kitties are all full of static electricity - poor things! There is snow on my deck again, too. /snow/yucky stuff expected the next day or so too. I bought potting soil, to get some seeds started - but I'm still going to hold off. The one bag was frozen and has been thawing - melting - in my garage.

I believe I saw on the news that Nor'easter #4 is brewing. :( I can't even imagine what it must be like for all of you who are dealing with one severe storm after another. SAR, I'm jealous of how much you can do in a day yet concerned about if you can keep it up! Can't remember if you've said how many fur babies you still have. I did get out yesterday while it was so nice and get a little cleanup done as far as my plants. Not sure that I'm going to plant much this year as I want to move. And now time for me to get back to work and see what I can get done! Hope you are all having a GOOD day.

to day I m barely able to function so am taking it real easy. was up at 8, got all cat chores done, and it was very cold, yes storm 4 is coming.... then they got here by 10:30 took 1.5 hrs of unloading and we had to hand carry stuff to the shed. .. I made fried rice patties and now just want to sleep! think I will lay down... it is not even 7 and if I fall asleep it will mess me all up.. so trying to sit and just rest.

Oh PL, yes, we are watching Nor'easter #4 too. The last forecast I read was that it was heading for us again! Surely that will change as the timeline for it is next Wed. or Thurs. Billy has an appointment with his cardiologist on Wed., so I worry about that.
We got a lot of snow with the last storm. The high winds caused a lot of snow drifts. But no power outages again!
Sar, it sure will be nice when you get everything taken care of and can relax and enjoy things you haven't done for so long. That grief sure feels like a kick in the guts when it hits! Sending hugs to you.
sacajawea, do you usually get a storm at Easter there? I don't even know when Easter is this year.
We usually get a storm around St. Patrick's day. So far we've had 3. lol
I wish you all a nice evening.

I ate the same thing that night, SAR, home made french bread pizza. ;) Quick and a nice change of pace. Glad you got the car taken care of since it was no longer needed. Better weather is coming so the yard clean up can happen when it does! The birds think it's spring here, chirping and singing and starting nests already. Daffodils are in full bloom, forsythia bushes are blooming yellow and I've seen a couple of small trees blooming pink. Other than that, it's cool and dreary. *sigh* We're lucky, no snow like some of you have! Dr. appointment this morning to get thyroid checked and quick trip to the food coop while I was over that way. Now I'm tired and looking forward to a nap. I hate sleeping in the middle of the day but it seems that I just must. to all.....

I'm glad you got some things done, Sar. I did our taxes a few weeks ago.
The 4th Nor'easter is still heading this way, but not sure yet how much snow or how bad it will be.
The guys were out to work on our heat pump again. It hasn't worked right all winter so we mostly ran our infrared heaters. They couldn't get it working right today either so they will be coming back with more parts or a whole new unit. It's still under warranty.
Have a good evening everyone.
