I have friends with smart phones that can talk in my house..... so after 3 days, today I was going to call and make a big stink! I HAD ASKED THEM.... will I be able to use in my house after explaining the flip phone only worked outside... told them I have a metal roof. they assured me I will be able to use it in the house.
here is what I found out today, when my company left I thought I would go outside just to see... standing in the porch.. nothing.. circle with slash like ghost buster symbol. went out in 31 degrees and stood in the middle of the driveway.. no roof.. I had 1 short bar~!!! quickly called my neighbor, she answered so made the connection, explained to her the situation, and said I am walking under the porch ...all broken up.... I opened door and walked into house.. no reception.. at all! so I have a new phone.... hoping I can keep the phone just get a different carrier?
anyway not too much is working in this area with the heavy wet snow..
tomorrow Richard is coming and the insurance many that is buying the snow blower... Sunday Paula is coming to help me with claim forms...
praying for all!....

Oh my goodness. I'm so glad you are all okay but so sorry that you are having to deal with downed limbs, power outages and bad cell phone reception. My phone was out due to moisture in the lines and my power was off....but for less than an hour and it wasn't due to the kind of severe weather you all are having. Unfortunately in this part of the country we are having severe flooding from far too much , though.

Wow, glad you are okay, Maric!
SAR, I am fortunate that I am not directly affected by flooding the way you are. I hope it doesn't get into your house again. By now most of the water has gone into the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers and you can see from news reports how bad that is. Glad I live far enough away not to be very affected by that.

SAR, I know you have a lot going on. Don't worry about it! If the time and mood strikes you, it will happen.

SAR, you need to schedule in just one day a week for your "me time" - downtime. All this stuff (well, almost all of it) will wait. Can't keep going at this pace, ya know.

SAR you are doing exactly what I did after Tim died. I jumped in like there were no tomorrow. I did everything that I could think of, and what I didn't think of I made up. I was like a tornado. My BF tried to warn me that I was doing to much too soon. I didn't listen. About the end of September it hit me with a raging infection right when I was trying to scatter Tim's ashes. It was not pleasant, and took longer than it should have to clear up. Take your time. Do things at your pace. They will get done. Do the things that must be done (legal crap) and the "if I don't take care of this the house will fall down around my ears" stuff. The other things can wait a while. SJ is also correct in that you need to schedule a time for YOU! We are so good at seeing to everyone elses needs that we forget about ourselves. Take a moment and breath!
