I know what you mean SAR01. Some days just getting up and making coffee is a chore! Today was kinda like that for me too. But I had to get moving. Some days I think, I'm just going to sit here all day and read. Then the "Italian/catholic guilt" thing sets in and I get up. The funny part about that is that when I finally do get moving, I don't feel like sitting any longer. Then there's always the Cashman who has the idea that I am his personal social director and play buddy. I just have to get another so he has someone to play with!!!

lol... funny how that Italian/Catholic guilt still comes into play! I still get twinges.. and just like it is lent so even though I am not a practicing Cathioolic, I observe Lent.. old , old tricks I guess.... yes, just think what a younger , (Pup) could do for Cash and to lift your spirits... maybe in spring since you will be house training... but Cash will help with that! I simply can not at this time.. sigh I so so so miss having a ....but until the rescued cat number come WAY down... I am stuck being a cat mom.....

This dreary weather makes me want to hibernate but there is always something that needs to be done. When I get up to work, I stay up longer and when I sit down at the computer or to rest, I stay at it longer because it's so painful to my knees to get up and down. Went to the Grandparents Day program yesterday, took Hannah and Wyatt to lunch, hung out here for awhile with them and then took her to her volleyball tournament. All the stair climbing and sitting in an uncomfortable chair was rough but so still had a pleasant day with them. Unfortunately I only had 2 hours of sleep the night before so by 4:15 p.m. I had to leave the game and go home since I was so tired. Oh....before the program started they called Hannah (she's in 8th grade now) up to the stage to recognize her for putting together the computer slide show of photographs for the Grandparents Day program. To say that I'm a proud grandma is putting it mildly. Speecher1, if you get another then they will BOTH probably want you to play and maybe compete for your attention! That's what happened with my son's two dogs. Yes, SAR, you have too much to take care of now with all your fur babies! It's drizzly and snowy this morning and there's been yet another bad wreck on the freeway that may be connected with it. Another month til spring.....

I'm having the same of day. Just finished moving all the electronics to the new "tv center" and getting everything hooked up in such a way that there's only 2 speakers and plug to pull if we have to move it out from the wall to put the bridge between the two tall shelves, when it gets here. The one that came with all the other pieces was damaged in the truck. It "just" fits in the space with only enough space on one side to slide my curtain beside it. Just an inch or two of space. PHEW... I don't know what I'd have done if it didn't fit!!! I measured like 6 times and kept my fingers crossed their measurements were accurate too.
So now I can sit & veg out... LOL. Except for this feeling that there's something important I'm supposed to be doing right now, today. I was out running around most of the day yesterday... and I can't for the life of me think of what was so important to do. I did finally get my laundry out of the dryer (from Wed. - LOL) and wash/dry my insulated bibs.

Good for Hannah, PL, that's awesome!
Sar, I hope you got the switch problem fixed.
It was a sunny, milder day here today. It was cold on Saturday when we went to the park for the Winter Fun Days. Billy wanted to see the horses that were doing the sleigh rides. He's a big horse fan. He grew up with horses and ponies and all his family members had horses too. He and his cousins used to do the sleigh rides in their younger days.
We went to the sliding hill in the evening to watch the kids slide and then watch the fireworks. Fred even watched them. He wasn't startled by them at all.
Hugs Sar, I know how difficult it can be. It never gets easier, you just get used to it.

We had nearly 24 hours of here. Everything, and I mean everything, has standing water. Including my basement. The sad part about that is that I had it "fixed" last year. Oh well, it's guaranteed for 5 years. The guy is suppose to come out this afternoon to look and decide what to do this time. I spent an entire night going down and up the steps changing towels every hour (Tim would be proud ) because the water was seeping in so fast. Fortunately it is confined to one wall. Hopefully its fixable with minimal work (NOT). I need a nap, but can't take one because I have company coming. It just keeps getting better. And right now, fair or not, I am so angry at Tim because I wanted to get this fixed years ago!!!!!

Fireworks this time of the year, CSue? Seems strange. Glad that Billy got to do something he enjoys. It was in the low 70's here yesterday but with ferocious winds. Then the thunderstorms came last night, complete with lightning and heavy . The temperature dropped down to the 30's and it's been lightly raining all day so far. It looks like GG and SAR are getting the that comes with this front and I feel sad that SAR and Speecher1 have to deal with the flooding. :( I'm about 50 miles from the Ohio River and 25 from the Mississippi River so no doubt they are both swelling with water. Physical therapy was intense yesterday and I'm really sore and feeling tired today (of course lack of sleep and cold rainy weather don't help! LOL) I'll have a different therapist tomorrow. A friend posted yellow crocuses blooming in her yard on Facebook last night! Hopefully it won't be long before the forsythia bushes start blossoming in yellow and tulips start popping up out of the ground. Sending bit HUGS to SAR and to all who stop by.

I know it is past morning, but it was all I had. I have been cleaning, cause I am going to interview a cleaning lady... lol! don;t want to scare her off! I have many I consider friends... I have many acquaintances, but I have only less then a double handful that are in my closest circle, that I know I could call and they would be there in a second. one of those in my closest circle, passed away today 3 yrs ago, and so I honor Jimmy today. Yesterday, I lost another friend that always was here before I hung up the phone. he was not able to help me at all with Dan, cause he was fighting his own battle with lung cancer, that finally went to his brain, and he was release from these earthly bonds yesterday morning. His wife and also our friend, Shirley, is in the Alzheimer unit and she is reliving being told he is gone about every 25 minutes. please for my friend Shirley... and for Linn's family that were with him till the very end. Rest peacefully now, Linn, our love for you transcends. may you all hug your loved ones close, life really is a fleeting second.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend, SAR. for his wife and for Shirley. It's hard as we get older to lose our friends that we cared about so much. Glad you may be getting some housekeeping help. You have so much to keep up with! Heavy today, flooding, and possible bad storms as the day goes on. Even possible tornadoes. UGH! Hope we don't lose power or internet. to all who make it here today.

Sar, sending prayers for your friend's family. So sad.
Asking for prayers for my nephew too. He was in a bad snowmobile accident last night. He went on a snowmobile trip with some friends up north quite a ways from here. He lost control on the trail and rolled his machine. He is in the hospital up there with a ruptured spleen, liver and possibly some intestines. All his ribs on one side are broken. He has brain function, his helmet saved him there. He is still unconscious. The doctors aren't sure that they can do the surgeries there and are considering sending him to another hospital. His parents live across the road from me, this is where he grew up, he's like a son to me as he spent so much time here at my house. His name is Willis and he is 28 yrs old.
We took Fred to the vet yesterday and got him neutered. We left him there and came home. They called us several hours later to go get him. He did really well. The girl at the front desk told us that when Fred woke up he had the biggest smile. She said it was so cute. I told her that Fred likes to smile a lot. lol
Sending prayers for all in need and I hope everyone's day goes well.

for Willis. It sounds like a terrible accident he was in but here's hoping that he will recover with few problems. Oh my...Fred probably doesn't know what hit him. Good thing he can still smile. ;) keeps coming and the storms are due to start hitting in a little while. We are supposedly right outside of the predicted tornado areas but storms can still be strong. Flooding preparation along the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers....
