I get so many intense dreams that when I wake up sometimes I feel like I'm worn out from it. I remember some of them. CSue, I have to agree with SAR about cooking roast in the crock pot, or just about any meat for that matter. It takes time but it comes out so nice and tender! So sorry for those of you getting so much snow and ice. We had a little episode of sleet a couple of nights ago but it melted the next morning. More like that possibly coming this weekend but by the middle of the week they say it may hit 60 degrees! Yet more great bargains at the food coop this week! Yesterday I got five pound bags of organic russet potatoes for 50 cents each and blueberries $2 a pint. They also had 2 pound containers of strawberries for $1.50 each but I have no freezer space left so didn't buy them. :( I hear you about driving. My vision isn't the best and can't drive at night so I seldom go more than 10 miles in any direction. I remember the days when I would hop in the car and drive 200 or 300 miles or more without a second thought! Still much pain with knees and still getting physical therapy. So tired of it. At least I have a handicap placard for my car now in case I need it.

I'm not a big fan of driving either, especially on busy highways and in cities.
We are having another snow storm today, and it will continue into tomorrow. I wish it will be the last one for this season but small chance of that.
Today is Billy's 63rd birthday. He likes movies about horses and western movies. So I got him a couple of his favourite movies about horses for his birthday, The Man From Snowy River and Return to Snowy River. He's watching the first one now, after he had poached eggs and birthday cake for breakfast. lol
I hope you all have a wonderful day.

That sleep will come. You'll immediately notice the difference when you wake up, too. Repeat after me: I don't have to be "busy" all the time, to be "OK". I can be OK, while having a day off, with my feet up, doing my nails... and connecting with friends online... or just reading or watching a favorite movie. I'm having a day like that, today myself. It's rainy, chilly - not AS cold as it's been - and the next stage of "work" for me (that isn't paperwork) is move things from one building to the next. I just don't see that happening in the .

I see the coffee is about out so making a big party pot for everyone!!!! to Billy! I bet he will enjoy his movings and his special day! I am so happy for you CSue! PL, I saw on FB you got some really great deals at the co op... and I still do not like to drive!!! lol SJ, I have a few days of rest this past week, but today I hit the floor running, the propane guy came, and then I decied to clean the litter boxes, not just picking them but cleaning then and refilling them.. in a bout a month I can do them outside with the hose, makes it so much easier.!!! so I am having a quick cup of coffee and still have to go to the shed. I have boxes to get out there, but it is hard in the winter, through the snow...with cats always trying to help! lol I decided to order online some cat food and litter to see if it would be any easier for me.. I am thrilled.. here is PART of the letter I just wrote to Chewy. com. ******* I just got my first chewy order delivery and am thrilled at the service. Both from Chewy who packed the bags of food and litter with brown paper (recyclable!) paper instead of those aggravating peanuts!. And from Fed Ex...the young man not only delivered to my home...but he brought them in as I held the door. The boxes are sturdy cardboard that can be used as cat dens in the worst of the cold weather for feral cats out in the country where I live! And the product! it is exactly the same food and litter I would struggle from store to car, from car to house, from house to the different cat areas, now I get it delivered with a smile, and I only have to get it to the cats! I plan to share this on social media and again I am so happy with my order. ******** Hope you all have a great Sat. and I will be popping in and out as I can!

Nice that you can reuse those sturdy boxes for the cats, SAR and awesome that you can get that stuff delivered instead of having to go get it now!
Sounds like Billy had a pleasant day in, CSue. I'll bet at this point you guys are really tired of the snow and cold!
Sacajawea, yes we need time to relax! It's chilly and icy here today and I don't have to go anywhere so I may not even bother to get dressed!

SAR01 I agree with SJ when she said that you don't have to be busy every day. It's just convincing yourself of that! LOL. For the first little while after Tim, I kept myself busy so I didn't have to think a lot. Now, I find myself with a book in my hand, coffee next to me, and my on my lap on a fairly regular basis. It's a very nice way to spend an afternoon, or longer. I love Chewy.com. They are a wonderful company! You can go into your account and change the delivery periods whenever you need to. I can't tell you how many times I've done that trying to figure out just the right time for more food. The other thing that I love about them is that it there is anything ever wrong with your order just let them know and they will take care of it. As an example: I received Cash's food in a box that was crushed on one corner that actually tore the food bag inside. I called them and told them what I found, they told me not to worry that they would send me another bag at no charge. It was at my door in 2 days. I didn't ask for more food, they just sent it. Then this past Christmas, I ordered a toy for Cash and along with his toy was a "special treat" from Chewy to Cash for Christmas! They are a wonderful company. I've been a customer for years now. Now I need to sign off and go out and clear my driveway, again! Whoo Hoo!!

I am very happy so far with Chewy.com.. but with all the critters here, I will be busy busy busy... I am still thinking of ways I can re arrange the dynamics of me, the house and the cats! lol.. once I do figure that out and see to get it accomplished, I too JUST MIGHT find myself able to sit and read, or craft, and just chill! this AM.. no cat was sick or had any accidents.. .. so I got through the house kitties, the garage dwellers, the shed siblings, and the ferals on the front porch and barn in less then 90 minutes! all are done, and napping and I got to watch Pretty houses for sale, and now on the PC! the neighbor that was so good to us especially carting me to places I had to get to, and helping me with Dan is coming over of pork and saurkraut. then I will shower after I finish cleaning things up and enjoy some TV tonight,. the other thing I tend to do, is with 40 yrs of dealing with Fybromyalgia, I know that I over do on those good days, because on the bad (flare days) I don;t get much of anything done once the cats are cared for. I am so looking forward to spring! but not the SNAKES!...this year I think I will pay for someone to come in re do my gardens and make it so I can get to them and see where my feet are! lol.. Coffee is done brewing, and smells so good, (Hazelnut) grab a cup and relax!

Well, it's time for me to get back at it.
January and February are my Rip Van Winkle months. Sleep, dream, let my imagination off it's leash to do it's thing... and then let me know what will be important "next" season for me to accomplish. This year, my D turned 40... so the first weekend in January we had a good-sized group of people here to feed, sleep and entertain. Had a lot of fun prepping for the party - and the party itself was so fun, they want to come back in October for another one, for Matt - Holly's SO. But it also took a lot of time and wore me out. LOL. Everyone pitched in, so it wasn't all on me or Matt - who basically took over my kitchen for the weekend.
I haven't been able to make my usual list, prioritize the projects or project tentative deadlines. Instead, it seems like I'm trying to find my own pace of work... what is more comfortable/enjoyable... than steaming full speed ahead and damn the torpedos... There are still some big projects on my list, but I'm not entirely sure I want to try to tackle them yet. My whole process for deciding seems to be changing. Hmmmmmm.
I think that's probably because I'm recognizing a need to "get social" in real life. Get out and meet some people, do some of those things that dropped completely off the list, or it just wasn't time to decide or deal with, while I was trying to be a one-woman impression of a whole brigade of marines the last couple years. Mike always said I was a "zero to 90 mph" person. Once I "decide" whatever I'm deciding.... it's lead, follow or get out of the way time. LOL.

Sar, that's so great about the online company that delivers the cat food and litter! It has warmed up here today and tomorrow as well, with some more . Hopefully the snow will melt some. We were to the city yesterday and to the next town today. Fred loves to go for drives now, he gets so excited when Billy turns the TV off, he knows that means we are going somewhere. lol Have a great evening everyone.
