An electrician cleaning out an old substation in India discovered the remains of a mysterious creature that bears a striking resemblance to a small dinosaur. The weird corpse, which measures around 11 inches long and was found in the city of Jaspur, may have been at the location for a very long time as no one had entered the site for over thirty-five years. A local wildlife official who initially examined the creature marveled at its uncanny appearance and admitted that he is not quite sure what it might have been. Learn more.

The Strange Origins of Brand Names
In the first half of Friday's show, author and researcher Matt MacNabb joined Dave Schrader (email ) to discuss the rumors and urban legends in the dark history of famous brands, exploring the mystery of the cocaine content of Coca-Cola, the Hitler-Henry Ford connection, and why Bayer is famous for aspirin, but began their journey with heroin and the Nazi party. Although regarded as an expert on popular culture, after a conversation with his wife, MacNabb decided to dig into the deep and dark history of some of the world's best-known corporations. He said that as he began his research, he soon discovered that the verifiable fact "were even worse and more bizarre" than the rumors. See the whole story here.

Open Lines
During Friday's Open Lines, Don in Ohio related his time as a soldier in Vietnam and a night on guard duty when he looked through his night-vision scope and saw a bird that he recalled "had to be the size of a Cessna" with wings so large that they only flapped up and down once every two seconds. Continuing the theme of strange history of corporations, he also mentioned that his wartime machine gun bore a stamp from the Mattel company. Tom called from New York to offer his opinion that droughts and even the recent report of spontaneous human combustion in London is caused by spraying of aluminum particles in the atmosphere. Previous geological thought suggested that planetary changes happen gradually over long periods, but "the history of the Earth is much more cataclysmic," he said. From time to time, great catastrophes occur stemming from either inside the earth with volcanic eruptions, or from space with impacts of asteroids and comets. These events, he noted, have changed the course of evolutionary history. For instance, the dinosaurs were wiped out 66 million years ago when a 6-mile object hit the Earth-- yet this paved the way for mammals to thrive and evolve, he explained. Get the full recap here. Modern Spirituality:
In the first half of Monday's Christmas night show, author specializing in religion, spirituality, and culture, Ptolemy Tompkins, discussed why in the midst of this darkness there are reasons for optimism and why this time, right now, is the best moment in perhaps all of history. Tompkins argued that while the world seems to be falling apart, there's a concurrent narrative for what it means to be human-- a breaking apart of old ways of looking at things. "We're stepping into a new world," he continued. "Our interior definition of the world is falling apart...and we are one step closer to the breakthrough." Find out more here.

Former Deputy Sheriff in Bailey, Colorado, Karen Anderson experienced heightened awareness dealing with life-threatening situations while on patrol. During this time she re-discovered her childhood gift of animal communication and has been helping others to bridge the divide and understand the mind of animals and even ones that are deceased. In the latter half of Monday's show , she detailed instances of animal communications and contact both from living creatures and those on the Other Side. In a memorable law enforcement case, while trying to locate a suspect in a domestic abuse incident, she saw a small cat in the yard walk over to a storage shed. The cat looked at the shed, then at Anderson, and moments later she heard the word "inside." When she went to investigate, the suspect turned out to be hiding in the shed. Get the full recap here.

He also talked about new developments in space exploration, and his views of ancient Mars. Many believe the Moon landings may have been a hoax, he suggested, because the Apollo program ended a long time ago, and they also distrust what the government tells them. Among the anomalies people point to is that the American fluttered in photos even though there was no air on the moon. Scientists, he explained, were aware that a couldn't move in that environment, so they put a springy wire inside the upper edge of the to hold the fabric out. And there was nothing to slow down the spring in the atmosphere, so it continued to move. Get the full recap here. Are You a Coast Insider? The first scientist to publish an analysis of the attacks of US embassy personnel in Cuba, he's concluded that they were the result of a "mass psychogenic illness," or a kind of mass hysteria. The attacks, he noted, all were said to take place in either the employee's homes or hotels rather than the embassy, and it would be challenging to target sound devices at these people in such a wide variety of locations.
