I have homes for them when I can catch them... for now I am feeding this little one and she thinks I'm her mamma.... I told Dave.. what part of NO MORE CATS do you not get! so he is taking her or "owning" her though she may be here more then there, till his dogs pass.... (yeah right!!! we know how that goes!) but she is a cutie! Happy November, everyone!

Okay, so what did you name her, SAR?
A little , lots of strong winds the last couple of days so leaves have been coming down and blowing everywhere. Fall colors have been beautiful this year but sadly so little that we are still in drought.
Rob was here Friday, helped me with a couple of things, and sold the little wooden bridge I had before they fixed my sidewalk. Nice to have it out of the way but wow, the nice couple that bought it talked our legs and arms off for an hour!
Only 2 days until voting day. I'm sure whatever happens will be interesting. I did remember to set my clocks back last night. The morning seems long!
Got chicken veggie soup cooking in the crockpot for later. Hope you are all having a great weekend.

+PL her name is Bree (Brianna) and now we have Bertie, her twin, and Billy and bryon!!! all in a cage and today they all finally ate .. I am still syringing mammas milk from the store... but they are eating up a slurry of cat food and milk...
Bree is my baby, the other 3 are terrified little things, I'' ll work with them so they will be fun at their new forever homes..
Rick and Dave and I had to fix one of the catios, the wind storm dropped a tree on the catio and split the PVC supports and collapsed the fencing, so we had to cut and rebuild... but it is cat safe now.... then we started to split some of the wood, and got a stack started.. this week the weather is to be colder, so I wanted to get things done...
then I made meatball subs for the guys, I fed the babies and showered and no trying to catch up on line.
have a great week ahead, everyone.

It was so nice here (in the 70's) until Friday and then.... Even got a little bit of snow. I wasn't ready for growing season to be over! Managed to get my a/c covered Thursday and the rest of the herbs cut, but haven't worked on all the leaky inside windows yet. Also trying to clean out the bedroom as I finally ordered a new bed and it will be delivered sometime this week. I'm slower than molasses so it takes forever.
SAR, hope you will be able to find good homes quickly for those fur babies!

hi Guys, PL, I'm texting and emailing people about the babies for Christmas presents or forever homes, and I am very careful who I let adopt them... they are now all drinking water and eating kitten chow and a bit of meat ... they are 5.5 weeks old, so I could let someone adopt them now. I JUST CAN NOT let 4 babies run around my house! lol
I've been working all day on the kittens messes, and done nothing for my to work towards the holiday.
so I am around but very busy, still....
hope your new bed comes and is set up easily and quickly PL, I need to order one too, but not sure I will be getting a foam one again...
waving to all

Crossing my fingers that you are able to find good homes for those kittens right away, SAR. I'm sure you'll be glad not to have to clean up after them.
The bed I ordered is a hybrid adjustable bed so it has both coils and a foam top. I sure hope it works for me. I don't know if I will be able to lay on my side on it or not. Haven't been able to do that since I had the kidney removed, the rollover car accident and the surgery. If not, at least it will be able to elevate so I will be able to sleep reclining. That kind of bed might be helpful for you, depending on how you sleep. The pain issues are always a big problem, aren't they?
Made a big pot of soup for supper so looks like I won't have to cook again for a couple of days or so. It's always nice to freeze single serve portions so if I am too tired I can just pull one out and heat it up since I don't eat commercial convenience foods.
Waving to all who stop by and hoping everyone is keeping warm and safe!

PL, I'd like to see what mattress you got... I have a double craftmatic that is covered and no way can I get to it... but I need a queen and thinking I might be able to pull up carpetting and install new floors and then get a new bed come Spring...
let me know how it works for you, I can not side or stomach sleep anymore, and with my hip pains it makes moving hard in bed.
it is so damp and cold woke to a coating of snow, but out east they had a foot and expecting another 6 inches...
stay warm, everyone...

I'm on the laptop so I thought I'd stop in. I hope that bed works out well for you plantlady! Restful, comfortable sleep is very important. I like to make soup and freeze some too. I usually don't have many leftovers of any kind since DH has quite an appetite. I cook good size portions of stuff too... My niece got married about a year ago. She made some big meal (I don't remember what). They (mostly he!) ate it in two sittings. She told him, gee, that was supposed to last all week! lol I was at the grocery store today. The prices were just crazy!!! I know my prices well and I was shocked! I feel so bad for people on very strict budgets. Heck, I feel bad everybody! It's just so out of control... I'm sure you'll find good homes for the kitties Sue. When our Brandy ( ) passed away, the vet told us not to let the loss stop us from bringing another into our home. They (like you) know who is worthy of providing a good home! We had some really nice weather for a couple of weeks too. At one point I could have used the a/c! No snow here yet although I did see a few flurries today. So far I can take the cold when it's not windy. Then again, the lows have only been in the 40's. Well, I should get back to the work I was doing on this puter. Take care all & keep warm!

Always nice to see you post, Kona! right now it is 24 and snowing and the wind is picking up and to be very windy tomorrow! ugh.. I am sitting with a fleece sherpa wrapped around me and the space heater on in the den where I am, and the funrace on for the full house and a eden pure in the dining room kitchen area for the tiny babies...
not sure what I am doing , I usually cook for those friends near me that are alone, I am not feeling it this yr. not feeling the holiday cheer to start decorating, either, I went all in last yr, this yr I got nothing... :( maybe because I feel I have no time for JUST ME to just sit sometimes.... I need to re organize my time and tell a few "friends" I need me time... and that my time is not subject to when ever they are free, cause maybe I am not!
maybe the fact I lost 4 old cats in 4 weeks, or 4 old friends (human) in the last 3 weeks might have me feeling down... I'm just taking one day at a time for now.
hang in there everyone, 2022 is almost over.

(((Sue))) I had no idea that you had so many great losses in such a short time.
You need to learn how to say "no". People will understand. Just let them know that this is a very busy time of year for you and that you don't have the extra time to go out and do things right now.
If you don't feel like cooking and putting on a "spread" for your neighbors, etc. don't. Let them know that you are not up to it this year. Maybe someone will invite you to share with them. If not or you choose not to; stay home and cook what you want for who you want.
Since my Mom passed away I don't get into the spirit like I used to. (Also getting older doesn't help for decorating! lol) I put out some of my poinsettias last week (including one that you made for me!) I must say that they do bring a smile to my face when I see them. My large Christmas Cactus is in full bloom and a little one that I rescued that was my Mom's is also blooming! That one has not bloomed in years... I took it as a sign to try to enjoy life a bit more that I've been "letting" myself do.
I sure hope that you find some peace and rest. Let God take care of the rest!
Gotta run for now. I have lots of errands to do today. Unfortunately it's freezing out!

I want to wish my U.S. friends a Happy Thanksgiving! Ours here in Canada was over and done last month. I didn't do anything for it, I don't do anything anymore. lol I'm not putting up a Christmas tree or any decorations again this year. It feels so nice when it's over and I don't have a big job of taking it all down. I did put the lights up again on the deck. Billy always liked them and my loves watching them come on. Gabby was like me, after the kids left home we both didn't care for a tree or decorations. We got a little snow several days ago but not enough to even plow. Warming up and on Friday and Monday. I hope it stays mild for awhile. I do have my studded snow tires on my car, so I'm ready for when it comes. I hope you all are having a great week.

In case I don;t get on here till late tomorrow... Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
Dave is here, Rick and Fran are the only ones coming... Fran donated a turkey, I have it in a roaster cooking, she bought pies and dropped them off.... Rich is making dressing, and a ham, and avacada dip. I am cooking the green bean casserole and sweet candied yams, and orangesicle jello and cherry cheesecake mashed potatoes (gravy)courtesy of Bob Evans, Dave got us a pizza for tonight... tomorrow we'll have to get the babies out of the dining room but it will be 55 so for a few hrs they can be in the cage in the garage,
we'll make a plate for Ricks mom and Bob how is in pain and can;t come.
Kona, yes, I had a lot of losses in a short time, but the cats were old, ... and my friends, one was 89, but the others were younger than me....:( I think they all had the jab, but I can;t say for sure.
so anyway, wishing you ALL a happy Thanksgiving and or a nice quiet holiday week-end.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
Thanks CSUE. It was nice to hear from you.
Sue, sounds like your “crew” really took charge and lightened your load! Enjoy your day.
I’m off to get started cooking soon. It’s just the two of us. Dad is going to my sister’s. The grands always trump me. lol As long as he’s happy, I’m happy!
Take care all!
