Hi, everyone! I have to get myself to the store to get strawberries, blueberries, light grapes and peaches. I am baking the ham, making bunny feet deviled eggs and a fruit salad with the pineapple laid out like a bunny ... request of my daughter who spends some time at Pinterest and saw it and thought we needed it. ROFLMBO!!! It'll be noon soon.
Two mornings in a row I woke up to snow on the rooftops, but by noonish the sun had melted it. The upcoming week looks like nice temps but that can all change in a heartbeat. So I guess we will take what comes our way and deal. LOL!
The chili was good. The Man even said enthusiastically, "That was pretty good chili, maw!" I don't say anything but I really hate it when he calls me maw.
Today the Lions Club is doing an Easter Egg Drive-Thru. This is the second year that they have not been able to have the Easter Egg Hunt, a longtime tradition in this town. Nothing is like it used to be. But the village has approved the Memorial Day parade and the Johnny Appleseed Festival. Our 5-year-old grandson will be in the running for Little Mr. Apple Bud, a penny a vote. His mother has volunteered to be the head coach of his T-ball team, so I will be going to watch some ballgames. Our 15-year-old grandson is in track so I hope to make it to some of his meets. And I am about to break out into rebellion. I am tired of the government telling me what I can and cannot do. I am annoyed about the "vaccine passports" that will be required to show you have been vaccinated. Dare I say it sounds like the mark of the devil because if you don't have one of those cards, if you aren't vaxxed, you can't work, can't buy, can't do anything. This is the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, for crying out loud. And the Democrats are going to ruin the country with their spend, spend, spend.
Uh-hem. Sorry. I'll settle down now because I don't want to stir anything up on Easter weekend. But I am very dissatisfied about that crap.
Have a wonderful weekend! Oh, and yes, we got our stimulus deposited in our checking account.
