My MoJo came back and I am outside in the front yard and weeding, and trimming, and digging and cutting and getting the front yard looking nice! My resurrection plants (Pink Ladies) are in full bloom and beautiful! I have 3 vases of different summer bloomers cut and in the house. hope you all have a great week-end.

Those Pink Ladies are up everywhere around here as well. I noticed that someone put a couple at Ryan's grave yesterday. Heat and humidity are back so I'm mostly inside. I am finally recovered from the food poisoning (I think!) so went by a yard sale, took items to be recycled and then hit the food co-op yesterday. Glad your "Mojo" is back, SAR. Your visits away from home lately have probably helped contribute to that. Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend.

We are getting a little break from the heat and humidity today. But it's coming back after today.
Omg, my anxiety level has been through the roof this morning. There was a shooter in the city about 45 minute drive from here where my kids live. I called to check on them and Jamie was right there where the shooting was going on! He went into Tim Horton's to get a coffee and wait for a co-worker. He heard the shots from the apartment across the street. He said a man and his girlfriend were killed, the cops came and the shooter shot and killed 2 of them, wounded 1 cop and wounded a paramedic. He was out on the street beside a fire truck. He said they wouldn't let them leave the area because it was in lock down. I called Farrah, she works at a store on Main Street not that far from there. I had been hearing that businesses on that street were in lock down too. She said it looks like a lot of them are closed. I told her to lock the store door. She didn't think she had to. She said military helicopters were flying around.
It's over now so I hope I can get calmed down so I can drive to the store. lol It was so scary though!!

So scary, CSue. Glad your family is okay! Reminds me of the shooting incident at the building where my sister Donna was working in Phoenix a few years ago. She and co-workers locked themselves in a bathroom and were safe, thankfully. Sarah had her gall bladder removed yesterday and is doing fine at home. I had to go pick up Hannah from volleyball practice (she started school already...as a freshman!) after school yesterday and will need to do it again today. Sarah's parents were with her at the hospital and then stayed all day and were still there when I took Hannah home. Apparently there were stones and it was very inflamed so hopefully once she heals she will feel better. In the midst of all this, she and her husband are planning to separate and she has rented a house but packing and getting ready to move at the moment is out of the question. He talked my arm and leg off yesterday when I was there but all I could think of while looking at him was how sad it was that his drinking and abusive behavior was tearing their family apart. SAR, hope you get your mojo back when it cools off a little. I keep hoping mine will come back too. to all who stop by.

I am celebrating today. I have been worried about my 8-year-old collie. In May I took Charlie to the vet. He had started to carry a hind leg. X-ray showed irregularities on his knee. We have been giving him pain medications (3) since then. Today the vet took another x-ray. No changes. Charlie is OK. I can start eliminating one of the pain meds. In a week a second one. The condition is chronic so he may need one of them. But I am so happy that my is well. And it was good news to hear that dogs do not experience withdrawal of controlled substances the way that humans do, per the vet. Thank you, Lord!

PL, wishing Sarah a fast recovery and that all goes well with the move. GG, I'm glad Charlie is going to be Ok. I hope you got some relief from the humidity, Sar. It's hot here again today. I hope the heat lets up soon, I've got to get the lawn mowed again. I picked my first cucumber from the garden yesterday. I've been getting a lot of red tomatoes. I calmed down enough to get to the store last Friday, Sar. lol But quite a shock later when Jamie called to say he found out who the man was that was shot along with his girlfriend. It was his friend, a fellow musician. Gabby and I met him back in 2008 when his band played in our area. So sad! I hope everyone is well and enjoying the day.

CSue, what a terrible thing that happened. Prayers for the families. Sarah is already moving into her new place with the help of her big family. She's feeling better after having the gall bladder surgery but of course can't do any lifting. Rained this morning and the air was cool and damp so I opened windows for a little while. Felt so good! Feeling better lately so getting a little more done. Inspection on the 24th so want to get this place up to snuff. Hope ya'll are having a good week!

Take all the time you need, SAR. The loss is still young. You are still doing all of the firsts. Give yourself some breathing room.
