PL, I missed it if you had an update on Liz. I am glad so far you are not smelling anything from your other neighbor, CSue, it is great Billy was able to go back to work... and yes the willow trees are getting green tips and all the buds are swollen ready to open maybe this week. it is only 50 but it feels great. My sympathies to SummerBreeze who has now joined the Widows club....her husband passed yesterday morning.... sending love, hugs, and prayers out for all.... I plan to just do a little here and there today as I over did it yesterday, but I am getting into crunch time and still no one is coming yet to help me get the cats re situated and out of the house, I trust the plan and it all comes together the middle of May to give me a day or towo to rest before the 19th.

So sad about SummerBreeze losing her husband. SAR, praying that everything will work out for your without totally wearing you down! No updates on Liz. Trying to find out but since I'm not family or power of attorney they won't tell me anything if I call. As far as my smoking neighbor, it has been good up until this morning when I could smell it faintly. Just when I was starting to get my sinuses cleared up. Attended my (third) cousin's funeral yesterday so missed Wyatt's soccer game. He was supposed to have one more game today but it's raining again. There was a huge turnout for the funeral since his mother had 8 children, numerous grandchildren and her 38th great grandchild was just born and he had many friends. Hope CSue and Mutter1 had a wonderful day yesterday celebrating their birthday!

Just received news about my friend and former neighbor, Liz. She's still in the hospital, unresponsive, and her kidneys are shutting down. It's just a matter of time until her soul is freed.

oh no, so sad.. hope it is gentle passing...
I never stopped today. I still have not had the help I need to get the fencing in place so I can get most all the cats in the shed, freeing up my garage, then the few house cats can go into the garage and I can still take care of the special needs.
I washed curtains, did a vinegar clean of the coffee pot, and sink drains, scrubbed more litter boxes, worked in the flower bed, weeded and fed the roses, removed 2 LIVE snakes out of the garage (kitty gifts) put totes in garbage bags so I can at least store them till after the May 19 celebration, then I can go through those too, I have too much to go through everything now way too much so just through stuff in totes to be gone through later.. and if I die the totes can all be donated to a good will.
Did not sit till after 8, and just had a ham sandwich. was planning tomorrow to be resting, but the cleaning lady is coming for 3 hrs, she has missed the last 2 weeks.. and it is crunch time!
Sometime this week I need to make a grocery run.

today for 5 hrs Deb and I worked on JUST THE FIREPLACE~ and it really looks nice! left me a mess to deal with but the actuallfireplace and mantle is clean, shining and pretty, less clutter, too!
now if I could just get the fencing up and the garage cats out to the shed,! and house cats to the garage after I clean it and before May 10! what a blessing that would also be!...

SAR - you'll have to contact the fencing help and "remind" them that you NEED this done by such & such a date. Then, make sure that date is AT LEAST a week, before you start prepping for the special day.
You can always be nice about it; you have been busy with other stuff and this one thing got lost in the shuffle... but it really is important, and if the person can still help meet that deadline, you'd be ever so grateful.

Good advice Sacajawea. Hope SAR can get what she wants done. My friend Liz passed away about 12:30 last night. I so wish I had been able to go see her more before she got so sick. Nice weather here today. I hope the rest of you are getting good weather also.

So sorry for the loss of your friend Liz, PL, we knew it was coming but it is stillsad, and she was so alone in the world... praying for her soul.
SJ, I would do that as I am not shy, but the one couple just suffered a devasting loss of their grand daughter, the other friend is on bed rest at PT for a knee that has to have serguery. this is a had one cause not many want to work inside the shed with the cats...I keep it cleaned up but it still has cat smell because they are the pee er out there..!
I have given it to God, and have asked a few friends if they know anyone that I could pay to do it. so just waiting....
I ran all day long, I have notbeen out for errands in over a month... so I did not get home till about 7ish. then had to put up groceries and put things away and write down expenses so I am just now sitting down....
I plan to be home the next several days but washing clothes and getting more things packed in totes till later on in the summer when I can take one tote a day and decide pitch, keep, sell, or donate!
I have the heater on and sitting in a blanket and 7 cats are cuddled around me! lol

Well we finally got spring here although it will be down into the 30's tonight. I can't remember it taking so long for nice weather to appear. Usually by now the trees are completely leafed out. SAR, I'm assuming you have been super busy as usual since you haven't been on in a few days. Hoping you are doing okay.

Yep; you gotta work outside on the nice days - it's good for you too! I'm back in a cold, gray spell - but after tonight I should be able to at least get my herbs outside. Found out it'll be July before they get to replacing my flooring downstairs. I'm just as glad, right now. This back & forth weather saps my energy.
So sorry to hear about Liz. That's a sad tale.

So sorry to hear about your friend and neighbour, PL. So sorry to hear about SummerBreeze's husband too. Sar, I see the weather thing at the bottom of the page. Very nice! It is raining hard here today. Fred was out for a bit and he's one wet puppy right now. Billy went in to the city to an appointment at the clinic and they said it was cancelled until tomorrow. They never even called to let him know! He's going to the plant to work for a few hours, then to another appointment with his doctor. There probably won't be much going on at the plant as it's so wet out. The government has been getting asphalt from them to patch pot holes in the streets but it's probably too wet for them to do that today. A lot of the streets around the river in the city are flooded anyway. This heavy today won't help. Our rivers here are high but so far no flooding. Take care everyone and have a nice day.
