SAR, hope you are doing better today. Went to see my former neighbor Liz Wednesday at the nursing home. She had the flu so I had to wear gloves, gown, face mask and shoe covers to go in and see her. She was sitting in a wheelchair, head bent over and was only able to talk a little. They had given her that stinking Tamiflu, no vitamin C, no nutrition, no nothing. :( I went back this morning and she was elevated in her bed breathing through her mouth and unresponsive. She tried to open her eye once but otherwise was not able to and it still felt like she had a fever although her hands were cold. When I left the room I asked why she wasn't in the hospital and was told they try to treat it there and if she wasn't better by the time the doctor came in today, they would probably give her IV fluids. I am seriously concerned that she may not make it. Please for her. She has no kids and hardly any family and they rarely visit her. So sad for her. She was a good friend. Rob came by and we went to lunch after that and had a nice visit. Hugs and best wishes to all.

You sure are busy, Sar. I hope you are feeling well and taking the time to get a little rest.
PL, I just read your post about the storms and tornadoes you had! Very scary stuff. You should go to your class reunion. I bet you would enjoy it. That is weird about your neighbor!
We had some more snow this morning but it's warm and the sun came out and it melted quickly and even more of the old snow melted too.
We got some warm rainy weather coming up so hopefully a lot of melting will happen. In about a month I'll be back to work at the camps.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Oh my goodness, SAR. So much going on. It must at least be a relief that you were able to get the taxes taken care of. Yes, you need rest so you can deal with everything. Will be praying for you Monday. CSue, the weather sure has been crazy for both of us. It was in the 70's the last two days with high winds and then a lot of . Cooling off tomorrow, though. :( I called about Liz this morning and they said she was taken to the hospital and is on a breathing tube. Hopefully they will know more later today. She has been through so much.

I called a little while ago but they didn't have an update on Liz' condition. They did finally reach her nephew in Chicago (who has power of attorney) but not sure if he's headed down here or not. His mother is Liz' half sister who rarely EVER visits Liz. The other neighbor that was found unresponsive last weekend passed away yesterday. Her family did find her little and take him home with them. She must have been sitting there at least two days. :( Cool, dreary and overcast here. Friends in Wisconsin say they have a foot of snow and it's still coming down and some have terrible ice. I just read about a lot of car accidents in Ontario so I'm guessing CSue is probably dealing with snow as well. Lots of precipitation in Ohio but I can't tell if it's or snow. Time for a . Hope everyone is well and SAR, my thoughts are with you tomorrow.

SAR, so glad to hear that things are coming together and that you've had some good days. I hope that you are doing better now that the Monday events are over and can relax a little. Did you take before and after pictures of the tub? We're getting a nice day today...in the 60's with sunshine. I wish it would stay like this. Wrote my smoking next door neighbor a letter this week and enclosed the letter from my doctor about my allergy to cigarette smoke, an information sheet about the complications of sinus infections and one about the toxic chemicals in strong smelling fabric softeners. I gave a copy of all of it to the housing office. So far since I did that I haven't smelled any cigarette smoke or the strong fabric softener and my sinuses are starting to clear up. I hope it stays this way. She knows the smoking ban will be in effect on July 1 anyway. Planned to go to Wyatt's soccer game in the morning but my second cousin's son died and the funeral is tomorrow. I think she had 8 kids total and she already lost another son and a daughter a few years ago. I didn't even know Tim was sick because I haven't talked to her in awhile.

So sorry you are still dealing with that smoking neighbor....and that you have that funeral tomorrow.... praying for you tomorrow... hope you get to enjoy the soccer game and the kids!
today is only 45 but I turned on the water for the hose and spend 4 hours in the laundry room area cleaning the walls and floors and litter boxes scrubbing them not just cleaning...!
tomorrow it is to hit 60 so might start on the water gardens... Dan's memorial here for Family and Friends is May 19th then I can take a break! I work/clean from morning till I absolutely pass out on the couch I am down about 30 lbs but that is good I needed to lose.... I think a lot is me eating gluten free and very little bad stuff!
Sent Katy Kitty across the bridge to her daddy Dan today, I sure hope he was there to greet her....:(

Wow, Sar and PL, a lot has been going on with you two since I last checked in here. PL, so sad about your neighbour, and sending prayers that your former neighbour, Liz, will get well. Sorry to hear about your second cousin's son. We are getting much better weather now. We didn't get a lot of snow this week, just a bit and it melted off before the day was out. We got freezing and but the roads weren't bad. Billy went back to work last Monday. His doctor said it was Ok since he doesn't have to do hard physical labor, he drives the loader at the plant. I hope all is well and enjoying the weekend!
