Slow Cook Teriyaki chicken Preparation Time: 15 minutesTotal Time: 5 hours, 15 minutesServes: 6-8 Ingredients3 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts, chopped3/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce3/4 cup brown sugar1/3 cup rice vinegar2 garlic cloves, minced3/4 teaspoon ground ginger4 teaspoons cornstarch1/4 cup water1/4 cup green onion, finely chopped Directions1. Place chopped chicken in bottom of 4-quart slow cooker.2. Whisk together soy sauce, sugar, vinegar, garlic and ginger. Pour over chicken.3. Cover and cook on low 4-5 hours.4. Remove chicken. While slow cooker is still warm (or left on the warm setting, if yours has one), separately mix cornstarch with water until smooth. Slowly add into sauce in the slow cooker to thicken, mixing as you add.5. Return chicken to slow cooker and stir to coat in sauce. link

Brown Sugar Crockpot Chicken
*12 boneless skinless chicken thighs or 6 breast halves (this is about 1.5 pounds) *1 c. brown sugar *1/4 c. lemon-lime soda *2/3 c. vinegar *3 cloves chopped garlic *2 TBSP. soy sauce *1 tsp. black pepper
Use a 5-6 quart crockpot. Put chicken in and pour other ingredients. Cover and cook on low 6-9 hours or high 4-5 hours. Serve with rice and spoon the sauce over the top. suggested using cornstarch to thicken the sauce if you wish Also, if you have the time I'd probably open the pot with an hour or so left and 'baste' the chicken a bit. We decided you could get just about anyone to eat just about any veggie when cooked in that sauce, so double it, throw in some baby carrots or peas (in pods) or bell peppers or broccoli.
--- I made this the other day. Was wonderful. I only used 3 chicken breast. Next time I may add a bit of salt. I think you will enjoy it too!!

Megan Mitchell September 25 at 6:45pm Salsa chicken in the crockpot! Chicken, jar of salsa, can of black beans, can of corn. Low for 6 hrs. Eat it with tortilla chips or over rice!

In a bowl, combine the barbecue sauce, Italian dressing, brown sugar, and Worcestershire. Pour sauce over the chicken and cover with lid. Cook 6-8 hours on low or 3-4 hours on high. Remove chicken from the slow cooker and shred using two forks. Return the chicken to the slow cooker to coat with sauce and serve on kaiser rolls. Enjoy!

How to make Cafe Rio-inspired shredded chicken:
Add the following to your slow cooker (or an Instant Pot with the "Slow Cook" program): 2 pounds of chicken breasts, 1 cup of Italian dressing, a packet of ranch dressing mix dissolved into 1/2 cup of water, and 1/2 tablespoon each of minced garlic, chili powder, and cumin.
Give it a quick stir, then cook on High for 5-6 hours (or Low for 8 hours). When it's done, shred the chicken with a couple of forks and serve.
