wow, BF! yes the UTI's can cause horrible mental and physical effects in elderly. part of Dan;s re hab was to show him how to "go" then rest and bend forward and squeeze tummy over bladder to get it "all" out. that is what is causing UTI some elderly can not fully empty the bladder.
Ohio (Cleveland) is very Gay friendly and has lots of jobs opening up now adays... just a thought.. I hate that you might have to dispose of cats you raised cause you have to move. maybe someone could foster till you decide what you will be doing? wish I could afford to pay you to come help me..:)
sure hope things open up for you..

(((Barefoot))) I’m so sorry about everything; especially your Mom. Sending prayers that she gets a proper evaluation and the help she needs. My Mom ended up in the hospital for a week due to a UTI! Don’t they have doctors at the place she’s at? I would think they would be opening themselves up for lawsuits for not offering a physician or at least transportation to one.
As much as I love CA, the cost of living there is outrageous. And you don’t get warnings for earthquakes! I’d go to Oahu first… I know of great gay communities in MA & ME but most employment is seasonal. Washington and Colorado sound nice. Do you know anyone in any of those places? It’d be nice if you could visit an area to see what’s available for work and housing.
If you are not able to stay with someone where you would like to relocate you are probably best off to find work close to where you are. You can always move out of state in the future once you are back on your feet. You are not an old man! Time is on your side.
That was a nice video. Beautiful horse and pretty scenery in the background. Hope you find someone to take care of one or more of your cats. Keep the faith that everything will work out for you. (((hugs))) Yeah I know you hate that mushy stuff but I can’t help it!

Wow, BF, when it rains, it pours....literally. :( I'm not understanding why your family won't take your mom for medical evaluation. That just makes no sense. If it's something that is fixable and can give her better quality of life, don't they care enough to help her? I have no idea where would be a good place for you to move to and find a job, but I will tell you that Augusta, GA is not a good place. My aunt and her partner moved there years ago and it wasn't very gay friendly. Maybe it's changed, I don't know, but I doubt it. My aunt passed away but her partner is still there and we consider her to be "family". My sisters are trying to get her to move to Tucson by them because she is getting old, has no blood relatives and so they can take care of and help her. I think she's down to three cats and one . (She used to have a dozen or more cats). She has a male gay friend in Tennessee or Kentucky she talks to often, but I don't know exactly where he and his partner live. Wishing you the best and crossing my fingers that your path will be made clear very soon.
