SAR, I hope Dan is having a better day today! Hoping you are getting enough rest to deal with everything. GG, glad you are enjoying that little man cub. CSue, I hope Billy's boss' place in Florida made it through without too much damage. So much sadness in your community and family lately. :( I'm getting one or two ripe little tomatoes each day as well, but I only have two small plants and one larger one. Fred! He's a border collie and they are balls of fire. It seems like some traits are almost impossible to fix, like how they want to paw you. Even still, they are wonderful dogs. We have been getting a little from Irma the last couple of days and it's still very overcast. It wasn't as much as we needed but better than nothing. Sending love and prayers to all today

Hi all! I hope barefoot and lightfeather are okay... I saw there are still a lot without power in Florida. I heard about the workers from Maine and Canada down there on the Weather Channel. Those poor guys working in that heat! I hope Billy's boss' house is okay. The eye went very close to one of our friend's house near Lakeland. We were so glad to hear they were fine. No power, but they and the house were good. CSue, I'm so sorry to hear about Jamie's schoolmates. Sending prayers for their families and for Billy too. I know it can't be easy to go through his parents house. I can't imagine. I bet Fred is consoling for him. I'm waiting for the weather to break. We had beautiful fall like weather a couple of weeks ago. This past week was unbearably hot. Now we are expecting Jose to make a close call Tuesday maybe through Thursday. We should only get t/s winds. Still, we will get the potted plants, , umbrella, etc. into the shed or the house. I'm only worried about my neighbor's neglected trees. Both sides of us have huge (2+ stories) trees that are not cared for. If some of them fell, they could easily land on our house!!! Unfortunately our complaints/polite concerns have landed on deaf ears... I know it's not cheap but you would think they would be concerned about their families. We can only trim anything that hangs over our property. Holding Sue and Dan in my prayers. Hopefully he will have more good days than bad. Hello to Plantlady & GG!

Kona, I hope Jose doesn't do much damage when it goes through your area. The wind from a tropical storm can be bad though, so stay safe!

Sorry I barely get here to post. I ran all day and got important papers I needed for the VA and then up to hospital then home and dealt with the critters... he seemed good today, I got there late and he had finished all the PT and OT for the Day, I still have not talked to the Oncologist Dr.... called his office 4 times and the hospital lady called and got busy sounds on all 6 lines! so all phone have been acting funny in our area today.
hope everyone is ok in your own lives.

It must be frustrating to not be able to get someone on the phone, SAR. :( I don't think we've heard from BF, but Lightfeather was finally able to check in and she is doing okay even though they lost all their refrigerated food due to the power outage. A little this evening. Ah...smells so good. Went over and introduced myself to a lady moving into the empty apartment across the parking lot today. She seems very nice and I have a feeling she will be a welcome addition to the neighborhood. I'm actually getting more sleep lately, amazing. SAR hope you are getting enough rest since you are dealing with so much now.

Hot and muggy here too. Headed off to Wyatt's soccer game in a bit, but thankfully it's at 9 a.m.....before it gets unbearably hot. I was afraid of us getting this kind of weather in September since August was fairly mild. SAR, how much help will you be getting when Dan comes home? I sure hope enough to help you relax a little. for SAR and Dan, all those affected by the devastating hurricanes, floods, fires..... The past month has really been traumatic for millions. Sending love to all.

Grrrr....that makes no sense. You NEED help! I hope you can get this all straightened out on Monday. Yes, enjoyed Wyatt's game and got to visit with Sarah and Hannah during it. Besides playing volleyball starting in January, Hannah is joining the cheerleading squad for the boys basketball games. Busy busy! Can't believe she'll be going to high school next year! Still hot here and it's a job trying to keep my container garden watered by hand since the outside faucet is broke and housing won't fix it. Getting quite a few little tomatoes and peppers, though. Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Sar, I hope everything goes well today when Dan comes home! Very hot weather here, a heat I think, this is not normal for my area. Yesterday and today has been 30C / 86F and the feel like temperature is 37C / 98 F. We went to an outdoor wedding on Saturday and it was so hot that we couldn't sit through it so we left. Sending prayers to you and Dan, Sar. Sorry to hear about the kitty.
