Good morning all as we have reached the first day of September! The from Hurricane Harvey just brushed by us a few miles to the southeast so we didn't get any of the much needed . :( SAR, I think having someone come in to help with Dan is a good idea, even now. Poor Lilly. Hope she gets better soon. Did the chiro/massage thing yesterday morning and then a friend took me to lunch. I posted on Facebook about my neighbor accidentally driving her car up one side of a ramp of a trailer that the mowing company uses also. If I can get the pictures to post here, I'll share them. She had cataract surgery the day before, has been getting cancer treatments and should NOT have been driving! Her daughter took her car key away later when I went to check on her and they were taking her to see a doctor. Well, never mind it won't post. :( for all those affected by Hurricane Harvey. I wish I could be there to help! Staying home to hopefully get several things done today. Hope it's a good day where you are!

Sorry for your neighbor's bad day. We are supposed to get some from Harvey starting later tonight, I guess, with a chance of some flooding. Tell me why it is that my daughter is so adept at planning visits to her friend's near Charleston, WV and then stormy weather with flooding hits between here and there? It happens every doggone time! I am such a worry wart!

Hi! I'm on the laptop so I thought I'd stop in. Hope Plantlady is okay. I don't do Facebook so I miss a lot. Hi GG! Nice to see you. Hope your daughter had a safe trip and you didn't get too much . Do you have your own grape vines Sue? I don't remember seeing or hearing about them if you do. Most would make wine with grapes, but not me! Sounds like you took great advantage of the grapes you had. We are watching Irma. It probably won't make it up here, but if it turns north sooner than they think it could. It's so frustrating; they don't have a clue! Sometimes too much information is worse. They were saying everyone from Texas to Maine should be on alert. Really?!?!? Right now, it looks like Florida will probably get some effects. I would rather have it head up here since it wouldn't be as bad for us. I sure will have Barefoot and lightfeather in my thoughts and prayers. I think Barefoot is still in the southeast part of the state. I'm not sure where lightfeather is though... We took my Mom & Dad out to eat and to see my Aunt today. Tomorrow is her birthday and she is mostly housebound. None of them drive anymore so they were all happy! That was nice. The print on this preview screen looks huge! It seems to be set on the smallest font size so I guess it'll be okay. Hope you all have a great rest of the week!

My post came out fine. I didn't mind seeing the huge text in the preview box. I was on a Mac using Safari so it's probably different than what you see.
I know you did grape jelly & juice every year but didn't know if you had your own grapevines.
Prayers for you and Dan. Hope he is having a better day today.
Not much of a chance the hurricane will head up here which is good. Not looking good for Florida now. They still don't know...
Barefoot checked in and I posted on the thread but I don't see it here in the café. I'm on my phone so it's set up quite differently.

where exactly is it big text? I am happy with all except the place where I read everyones posts or where I am typing a reply, those are so small I can;t hardly see them... so I use control + but it makes everything huge!
I went to every place to enlarge text but the reply and the read area is tiny!

The text is very big in the "Reply" box. Not the "Quick" reply box below the last post. I always hit the "Reply" button on the bottom right of the last post.

Oh it doesn't bother me it's nice to see big print. It's so big though that it looks like there's two spaces between sentences and I was getting confused. lol I'm on my phone now and everything's small but that can't be helped !

Keeping LF, Barefoot and anyone else that live in Florida in my prayers. Some of my friends there have already evacuated. Irma has devastated the island of Barbuda damaging or leveling over 90 percent of the homes there. Praying Irma will lose strength before it hits Florida.

I hope all is well for everyone in Florida. My sister-in-law and brother-in-law sent their crews down to help restore power. Billy didn't get a chance to talk to his boss yet about how his place or his father's place in Davenport, FL made out in the storm. We stayed at his father's place next door when we took a truck down for him. Sar, I hope things are going better for you and Dan today. It's quite sad in my community this week. A girl that Jamie went to school with died last Sunday from some kind of infection in her leg that she was being treated for. Then this morning a guy that Jamie went to school with died from a drug overdose. They would of been only 41 yrs old. Today is Fred's birthday. He was one bad pup! He's a good boy now though. The thing we bought to keep him from jumping on people and chasing and biting the broom and mop worked great! It emits a sound that we can't hear but dogs and cats can and they don't like it, irritates their ears. I only had to zap him with it a few times. Billy is having the hard task of taking stuff from his parents' house. He said he didn't want much, too memories come with them. He misses them so much. They left the house to him, and he gave it to his son as he didn't have a house and they had been renting for years and he couldn't get a mortgage to buy one. They don't mind moving from the city to the country and travelling in for work, like Billy does. I've been finally getting red tomatoes the past few days. We did get some but it's back to sunny and warm again now.

Hi, Everyone. I'm kinda scarce. I just don't get online too much. I am way too busy to play on the world wide web now. The baby is now a toddler, almost 19 months old. He has a LOT of energy. He is very coordinated for such a young kid. I think he will be an outstanding athlete if he develops the interest. I love that little man cub.
