Well, that's weird. Wrote out a post this morning and I don't see it here so I must not have hit "creat post"? Good grief. I must be getting old.
SAR, hope the storms weren't bad up by you. They just barely passed me by, causing damage in surrounding areas, even within my county.
Had a busy week with medical appointments, lunch with a friend, and housing maintenance actually came and fixed some things for me, including my outside faucet. I have been asking for the faucet to be fixed for 12 years! I can finally use a hose instead of having to carry out many gallons of water for my containers!
It looks like we are going to be lucky on Monday as our skies are predicted be mostly clear (and around 75 degrees!) while many areas in the path of totality will be cloudy. I hope clouds will clear in many more areas for it!
And as if things couldn't get any weirder, we will be hit with billions of XIX brood of cicadas emerging from the ground soon. And some of them will be infected with a "zombie" virus! Zombie cicadas
We live in strange times....

Hoping you have clear skies too, SAR. It would be fun to have family and friends come for it. Glad you got out yesterday.
My left leg/knee/foot situation is becoming more and more painful and now I think I sprained my RIGHT foot when I visited my boys a few days ago. Stepped off their concrete porch not realizing the drop off and it turns out it was the same spot Randy sprained his ankle when the dogs pulled him forward on their leashes a couple of weeks before that. I'm needing to get some topsoil here and he's supposed to help me so I'm going to suggest that he get a couple of bags and put it there to hopefully prevent more sprains. Anyway, made an appointment to get a PT evaluation AGAIN (*sigh*), this time to see if there is anything they can do to help. It's getting to the point where I can hardly walk sometimes. Dang it, I have things to do!
Hope everyone is having a good weekend and getting ready for the big event Monday. It's going to be crazy here with so many visitors, small planes coming into the airports, etc. Glad I get to stay home.

Oh No sure hope it is nothing serious, but you know I am thinking I sure go back to chiropracter, they took away my sciatic pain for several months, now it is back worse, and the muscle spasms I have at night are returning... there is so much I am trying to get done so I can simplify my life, but it it just plain too much for 1 person sometimes.... and now I am paying and paying to get help.. if there was a male friend,,,, I'm sure he'd do little things but right now I am not even looking...I don;t have time to even think about going out to dinner... I'm lucky if I plan weeks in advance to go to the dances I go to, lol
anyway, much to do today and the floor guys coming tomorrow hope to fininh up all the looise ends, then Monday is eclipse, then tues painter..... and I started to make appt for those that have been so patient and willing to wait for me to get my self together.....
Spirit is really pushing it, and as you can see I started back with the tones and pains in Planey Earth forum... sure wish we'd hear from Laurie58, I lost touch with so many when Dan was sick.....
hope you all have a lovely week-end and clear skies Monday!

They sprayed here too. Mostly ruined the eclipse and we could only see two planets during the totality. I did enjoy the time outside visiting and watching the eclipse with my neighbors and like you, we had nice weather.

Happy Birthday to Heather! I hope Kendra is okay! I can't imagine how difficult it is to be allergic to so many things. Sounds like things are coming along well with your home remodeling. Knowing you, though, you will never breathe easy as you think up more things to change. I'm like that too. Never satisfied and always planning and thinking....
Went to lunch with Randy today and we went to Rural King so I could get some large bags of potting soil they had on sale. Plotting my container garden and how I'm going to try to make shade out front. My onions, peas and kale are doing well while a couple of other things haven't sprouted. With the warm weather the next few days I'm hoping that will change. I can only work a few minutes at a time because of pain, but that doesn't stop me from trying.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful spring weekend!

Wow, SAR, how awesome that you are getting so many projects finally done!
Had intensive physical therapy yesterday and it did seem to help a little. I've been outside working on getting more containers ready for planting and cleaning up the area where I will be reorganizing them. But housing STILL hasn't mowed! The grass and weeds are 8-12 inches tall in my front yard. It's ridiculous. I did get a new hose (a lightweight expandable one) and I can't wait to get it hooked up and try it out after they finally mow and I can get things set up. It's 78 degrees outside and beautiful ahead of possible and storms tonight.
Resting my leg and getting ready to eat leftover home made soup for lunch. Hope ya'll are having a GOOD day!
