Sounds like you are making progress and finding enjoyment in life as well, SAR. Spring is around the corner and that will make it even better!
Progress seems to be at snail's pace here due to medical problems. I try to keep going, though. Trying to figure out how to deal with those issues. So frustrating. Both of my sons have problems, too, one has a torn rotator cuff and the other has a badly sprained ankle, so it doesn't seem to be a good month for us. I hope April is better. I did manage to have lunch with a friend on Wednesday and we had a nice visit.
Hope everyone had a good weekend.

A very sad thing happened here this weekend. The woman who lived in the apartment I used to live in across the parking lot passed away Friday. I didn't really know her, but I know she was a heavy smoker and diabetic. Last year they amputated one of her legs so she was in a wheelchair. Apparently, gangrene had set in (not sure if it was that leg or the other one), and there were emergency vehicles here and they rushed her to the hospital but she didn't make it. I'm just stunned and feeling so sad for her and her family. She was only 53, I am told. Please keep her family in your prayers.

that is so sad, PL... she was young.
things are coming together, but so slowly... remember a few yrs back I was having vertigo horribly, I researched and found mega doses of Vit d3 with K2 was the protocol, the 1st day I started that, the vertigo ceased.....fast forward to Jan 2024, I suffered kidney stones and vit D is listed as one of the things to avoid... so I am no longer taking it as a supplement... well, in the middle of the night and as I sit here, not able to do much else, I am dealing with vertigo!!! I have wrist bands on for sea sickness which is helping, but ugh, I'd trapped into sitting or moving slow all day!
the wind here is gusting up to 70 MPH and something feel on the shed roof when I was out feeding cats, so be safe everyone.!

That's the first I've heard about a vitamin D connection to stones, SAR. I'll have to look that up. Diet and not enough water seem to be the biggest contributors to kidney stones from everything I've dug into the last few years. I have to religiously avoid or limit chocolate, beets, almonds, spinach and other foods that contain larger amounts of oxalate acid. B6 and magnesium are important to prevent them, as is calcium (from food, not supplements). We had those winds and then lots of yesterday. It's breezy and in the 50's here today but at least mostly sunny. Got a few things started in containers yesterday so hoping for good germination.
Hope everyone is having a GOOD week!

PL, I did not know the connection of vit d3 but it was right on the papers they gave me from er about avoiding kidney stones... also about coffee, chocolate and all the oxalates... I think my problem is not enough drinking of plain water, in the summer I can get down several glasses, in winter it is much harder, but I'm trying....

Stopping by to wish you all a Happy Easter! A lot of things have been going on for you two! I hope everything settles down and gets right so you both can relax. We have been getting weird weather. Just as we think spring is here, it will snow again. Now it's been raining for 3 days and a little bit of snow and coming again tomorrow. Sunshine after that. I got a couple tomato plants started for me and my sister and also a cucumber plant for me. I'll make sure I don't set it out this year if there's going to be lots of . killed my one last year. Our "crime minister" is making the lives of Canadians so hard with a huge carbon tax increase on Monday for his fake climate change. I don't know what people are going to do to try to survive. I hope better times are coming and we can get rid of that WEF criminal. I hope you all have an enjoyable Easter weekend.

started raining about midnight, hasn't stopped. but it is a light growing . this is the 1st Easter in many yrs I did not cook or invite any "strays" for dinner. I'm just going to have a very solumn, quiet day and that is fine with me, I need some quiet time I think.... but tonight I will go meet up with a bunch of friends at a pot luck at the winery and then dancing. Happy Easter Saturday, everyone
