we were all looking forward to 2024, and so far, I think we all are seeing a continuation of the perils of 2023, but more in a personal nature this yr. I daily for those dealing with medical issues, private issues, for animals, domestic and wild....and for our country..I feel like nothing is as it appears, and we are hit with all kinds of things beyond our control, so even with us living the best we can, we are struck down by unseen things. I don't mean this to be a downer, and depressing, but so much has happened in the 2 months so far, I'm holding my breath, for what ever is coming next. meanwhile, I delight in the birds that have started singing in the mornings, and the wildlife that is coming through my yard so I can enjoy them as I sit in the bay window...the glorious sunsets we've been having, and the fact I have family and friends( that are family!) and.. I have unshakeable faith in my Lord, Jesus Christ.. and I also know, God has been with me since I took my first breath. always, the optimist, God's got this!

It does seem that spring is arriving, for sure. It's 76 degrees here right now. I spent a little while outside working this morning on cleaning up from last season in preparation for the new season! Birds chirping and flying around and our resident crows quarreling with each other as they begin nesting season.
I agree with you about all the things happening and how we are dealing with things beyond our control. Sometimes it gets me down yet other times it makes me want to fight even harder against the things that are so wrong.
One of my sisters had a collision with a fellow on a motorcycle Saturday as she was making a left turn. He survived but went unconscious for a short time. She got out and helped him as much as she could until the ambulance got there since she's a retired RN. Sadly, it appears that she was at fault so may be dealing with legal issues. Please keep that fellow in your prayers.

tonight turn clocks forward! the guys are here, ran into more issues, a leak that we fixed this summer, leaked and rotten part of floor, they cut out the bad and put in good and fixing a part of the wall... never easy.. ugh.... and the temp is falling from 65 to 32 today and turns to snow,... calling for 1-3 inches here... and I have a kitty that is calling and calling for her sissy Rachel.. she's been doing it all week, breaking my ... I had planned to go out later tonight with friends, but everyone is cancelling... so I am good with that, too! stay safe.

Darn, SAR, hate to hear about more leaking and the resulting repairs. Seems to be one issue after another with that place! So sad about Rachel's sissy missing her. That must be hard to see.
It cooled off a little here and is only 45 degrees right now. Decent days of 50's and 60's coming up this week, though. Going to lunch with a friend tomorrow and playing the rest of the week by ear as I have no medical or PT appointments this week! Last week I got results of my bloodwork and they were pretty darn good! The new primary I'm going to said, "Wow!" Still have tweaking to do on my diet and supplements, though, as my BP is still not where it should be. Only on one medication and it causes me mild side effects.
Apparently, my sister is being sued by that guy on the motorcycle she hit. It's a shame as she hasn't had an accident since she was 16 years old.
Just itching for it to be nice enough outside to get going on my container garden (and to have the energy to do it). Trying something new for some of them this year....container bags. It will be interesting to see how well that works.
Hope ya'll are having a good weekend. Only a month til the big solar eclipse!

Storms went around us yet again. Sadly, they didn't miss areas north and northeast of us. So much damage and lives lost in Indiana and Ohio. Hope it wasn't bad for SAR and GG.
It was beautiful and in the 70's the last two days. I'm feeling a bit better now and Wednesday I managed to go shopping and visit my 87 year old second cousin. Yesterday morning I spent a couple of hours working outside on my planting containers. Felt so good to be outside and accomplish that.
SAR, hope your remodeling has been going smoothly the last few days. I'll bet it's starting to look nice!
Waving to all who stop by. Hope everyone has a great weekend with blooming.

Hope you got to do something fun last night, SAR. Hit my first yard sale yesterday, made a quick trip to Dollar General and ran a couple of quick errands before working on my planters a little yesterday since the weather was nice. It's a lot cooler today and the nighttime temps will be below freezing the next couple of nights. UGH. Planning lunch tomorrow with a friend, chiro and primary voting Tuesday, and cardiologist appointment and errands on Wednesday.
Hope everyone had a pleasant St. Paddy's Day today! One of me great grandfathers came from Ireland so I'm a wee bit Irish.
