Annie, our very first rescue here, is gently easing into Dan's arms...I can feel him close.... I keep checking on her, and she is very close to complelely crossing. was hoping it was before the rains came, but the rains are here and I will not chance any life essence left at all so I will probably be digging in mud again.
I had started a short story I was posting about Annie as a rescue in her words... and Spirited1AU loved the story.... I'll have to let her know after the fact. I will try to find a few photos.. so sad, but the numbers continue to drop.... that, is a good thing.
Can't find image right now I'll find it ans post

I put this on FB Annie was the very first rescue we had after we moved here and built the barn. She was a lovely little petite grey mottled kitten with a peach patch on her head. she came from a line of feral cats that hunting this area before we moved in, Rosie, then Little Grey, ferals that kept our barn rodent free but never let us near enough to trap, neuter and release. Annie was born and as a tiny kitten decided 2 legged humans were not all that bad. so one day when I saw she had an eye infection, brought her in to do minor vetting, and she stole our hearts, and never left. she graced us with her quiet dignity and soft purrs for 23 yrs. today I laid her to rest between storms,,,RIP Little Annie, you were such a good little kitty.
