Wow SAR, it sounds like you might need to go have that finger looked at! And I'm sure it's going to be difficult to do as much as you are used to doing with that injury.
I've never had to deal with stink bugs getting into the house (YUCK!) but I've dealt with Asian beetles getting in years back. Hope you got them all.
It's still green here but should be changing soon. It's actually going to be mostly in the 70's the next few days. Hoping to get more cleanup and a few small projects done this week in between medical appointments and before I have eyelid surgery Nov. 9. I never look forward to November when the leaves all fall off and the trees are bare.
Sending hugs and well wishes to everyone!

Hi, all. Sue, it was good talking to you on the phone today. I'm still trying to find a couple of days to come to see you. I haven't been there since before covid! Well, we have a new puppy in residence. Sadie is a Leo. Sue told me to make sure she understands right away who is boss. I didn't know astrology applied to critters, too. LOL! So, this evening I told Sadie who is boss. She was not happy with me. I dared to leave her home alone while I went to the grocery store for milk, bread, eggs, and bananas and stopped to pick up a sandwich for my supper because the husband was not home for supper tonight. But she got over it when I gave her a peanut butter treat. It's been almost a year since my sable border collie died. I kept saying I didn't want another . I want a loveseat for the living room, new carpeting on the stairs and the up and downstairs halls. But when I drove to meet a friend for lunch last Friday, there was that sign about the border collie puppies. I guess it was fate. The man wanted a puppy. I kept saying no, and when I told him we needed to talk -- and he looked at me like uh-oh. What did I do now? -- he did not miss the opportunity to say, "I've got some cash. Let's go." He calls her Mama's Girl. And he is still talking about the German shepherd even though I told him the agreement is ONE , not two. I am trying to send a photo, but not sure this is going to work. apis.mail.yahoo.com/ws/v3/mailboxes/@.id==VjN-gwsHPBQiwGuhgKR-0r8pXu9cHZ1I20qMw8ilW4dtu38y5tMwS2y7CBuHO3HjjuJYKU3W9RB9hsviOcxCKcdQJg/messages/@.id==AKhICcRmyCIHZTnC2ADuSNhuHZ8/content/parts/@.id==2/thumbnail?appid=YMailNorrin&downloadWhenThumbnailFails=true&pid=2All is well here. I hope it is well with all of you, too.

Picture did not come through... I'm not good at explaing from your phone. well, I have Bo bear on a pillow all comfortable, his time is close, he wants outside but I'll never find him, so I have him by the door where he can see out. he's 24 maybe 25, and lived a good life so I am hoping he just drifts off, so far he's not in any discomfort and all his clan stay close to him... I have a meet and greet with the local singles group tonight, most are in their 30, 40 or 50, but I enjoy being the "mama" of the group, not many in my age bracket, but I'm friends with those in the group. I was invited to another town for Friday night, but thinking I'll pass on that, and then Sat been invited to 3 different places...will go to the closest.. :) I just washed bedding and I love getting into a crisp wind dried bed. the nice 70's will be leaving by Sunday... .... have a great Thurs, everyone

Congrats on the new puppy, GG! If it's another border collie you have your work cut out for you, but as you know, it's worth it. I miss our black and white border collie, Nova.
Wow, SAR, Bo has really lived a long life. Sounds like it's about time to rest. Hope you enjoyed your singles group last night and will again tonight if you go.
Did my medical tests Wed. and yesterday. This morning I took my car to a local guy to replace my turn signal/brake light in the rear and he refused to let me pay him! He just said "Play it forward" (which you know I will!) and I gave him a big hug. Then got gas (and bought lottery tickets LOL) and went by Dollar General for a few things. When I got home, I watered my outside plants, moved them around so I will be able to cover them for the upcoming colder weather the next few days, harvested some celery, parsley, peppermint, and basil so I can dehydrate them, cut up avocados to freeze, and now I'm too tired to cook lunch so I guess I will make a smoothie.
to all who stop by.

you had a busy day, PL glad you will be able to harvest the last of your veggies and herbs..
GG, pups are so ornery and cute.. enjoy her puppy yrs.
I enjoyed meeting new folks last night, no one special, but it was fun to get out... I'm staying home tonight... but planning of dancing tomorrow.
I buried Boo Bear this morning... he was alive last night before I went to bed I checked on him, he cood... I said sleep well, old man..,.
I woke a 2 feeling like Dan was standing beside me..... I said I hope you are here for Boo.... this morning when I went to feed his group, he was gone.. apparently for a while... so he is buried with the rest of his group, there is one more, Max... and that group will all be together with Dan.. the next group of rescues are in late teens, 18 and 19, so far only 2 might be leaving sooner then later they are not sick, just showing their age.
waving to all that stop in.

You all sound busy and content. I like it!
I decided I'm going to do a makeover. Starting with my old woman hair. It's like my paternal grandmother's. UGH!!! Then I am going to move to clothes. Maybe a 70-year-old woman shouldn't wear jeans all the time anymore. And I need some dress-up clothes so when I go out I feel like a lady. Again, I live in jeans, which is OK when I'm hanging out at home but I have to draw a line somewhere. I'm not raising children anymore -- that doesn't include The Man of the House. LOL! And I AM training a puppy again. And saying to myself, "Maybe this was an insane idea." But she has been with us for a week. I had to leave for a bit. The Man took Sadie out. She tracked my scent all the way to the gate at the end of the backyard and tried to squeeze through it! Yeah, I'd say she isn't going anywhere. And we will get through the potty training. LOL!
So, have a great weekend! Live, laugh, love!

I'm with you, SAR. Comfort is important. I have some pull on stretch jeans, but don't wear them much because they bother the scar on my side from when they took out my kidney. I usually have to wear lighter, stretchy material.
Today would have been Ryan's 40th birthday. Got together with my boys for lunch and to reminisce about him. It was dreary, cool and rainy but the fall colors were beautiful and it reminded me of the day Ryan was born.
Down to the upper 30's tonight but still drizzling so it was really nippy. I covered some of my plants but think I will go ahead and harvest the green tomatoes tomorrow as it will be down in the 20's at night most of the week. Hate to see the garden go but I guess it's that time of the year.
Hugs to all.
