Happy New Year everyone,,,,, it went from below frigid temps a week ago to 50's and 60's this week, trading snow for fog and . I went out to what was to be dinner and dancing with friends and had dinner, the band cancelled, and was home and in bed by 9.30......even alone I always watched the ball drop at midnight.... oh well... today is a new day, much to do, but will sit and be patient because a few local friends were going to pop in... I just don;t know when! I hope we all have a much better 2023 then the last few yrs... but hey, we are still here, so I guess that is a good thing! Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! Hope it will be a better year for all of us!
The weather is about the same here, SAR. I'll take that over the cold and snow, for sure. I made it til midnight on New Year's Eve but was surprised that I didn't hear fireworks like I usually do at midnight. I was busy online and didn't even watch the ball drop, so don't feel bad.
I actually made a couple of resolutions this time. Now let's see if I can keep them.
Sending good wishes to all!

Happy New Year Everyone! I didn’t make it to midnight… I remember when we were younger we would be out until 2-3:00 am on Christmas Eve visiting. And no doubt we’d make it to at least midnight on NYE. (We mostly stayed home though) I never thought I’d see the day that I wasn’t a nighthawk! Well, it’s here. lol Still pretty warm here in the 40’s. Unfortunately it’s supposed to until Saturday with temperatures dropping every day. (likely mixing with snow/ice on Friday) That was a nice picture that you shared of your boys plantlady! Take care all!

I buried Jessie this morning, such a sweet kitty.... but now with Dan....
almost all the shed kitties are gone, or will be only 3 left, then I will clean it real good and get all the garage cats out there, then start taking back my space!
yep, I can;t do the late night stuff anymore.. how sad, I loved the quiet of night.

SAR, I know you miss Dan. You always will, and I know that when it is your time to go over the rainbow bridge, he will be waiting there for you. I recently talked to a friend I hadn't talked to in several years and her loving husband passed away a year ago...in her arms. She is still understandably depressed. Hoping to go see her soon to hug and comfort her physically. Wish I could do more than send you virtual hugs.
We had a terrible situation here yesterday. A woman who works at the clinic where I see my chiropractor, physical therapists, etc. was shot by her husband right behind the building just before 9 a.m. and later died at the hospital. Her husband fled and not long after was found on a country road not too far from where my boys live, dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. I can't think about it without crying for their children, their family and all of her wonderful coworkers and what they will all be going through. I was just there the day before that to see my chiro.
Fair weather here and hoping we don't get any more bitter cold spells but we do still have a bit of winter yet to deal with. Sending to all.

Yesterday was murphy's Law all day, Septic switch off again, (75.00 later the guy came and pushed the same button I did.. and it magically started!)
my propane tank was 15% and I get antsy at 30%, so after calling 2 times in 2 weeks, I got a delivery but only one tank was filled, the guy must have been new cause he never came and filled the side tanks for the back of the house....
after looking everywhere, thinking I must have dropped a 100.00 gift card into someone Christmas bag...I "found" it, again, where I never would have put it... so all in all it was a good day!....

Glad you found the gift card, SAR, and that everything is going OK.
The other day someone mentioned "retrograde" and I thought of you right away. Not sure why. :D

Must be the week for things to stop working or break down, SAR. My dryer started squealing a few days ago so have a call in for repair and the guy is due Thursday morning, the first of two days HUD is due here for inspections. In the meantime, I've been dealing with upper back/spine pain and couldn't get into the chiro until tomorrow. Not sure what brought it on but I sure didn't need it now.
So far 2023 seems to be the year of evil truths being revealed. Hoping and praying that it will be the year where good triumphs but it's certainly an uphill battle. Hope it brings good things to all of us.
