Will keep Heather in my prayers, SAR. Did I see that snow is headed your way?
It was almost 60 degrees here today with sunshine but coming in again tomorrow. Had a quick doctor appointment and hit the grocery store this morning so got to take advantage of it.
Both of my boys have been sick with that latest crud going around. Robert has been helping deliver UPS packages but hasn't been able to work all week.
Hope you all are feeling well and pursuing what Christmas activities you are able to!

Keeping Heather and Dave in my as both face such difficult health situations.
How much snow did you get, SAR? We rarely get snow here as it is usually too warm. It's in been in the 40's/50's for a couple of weeks now. Very little chance of a white Christmas. Working on cards and not sure if I'll be able to put up any decorations or not. Hoping to have the energy to put together a Christmas flower arrangement for Ryan's grave.
Robert stopped by to use my printer on his way to pick up groceries yesterday. I told him it wasn't necessary to wear a mask (to protect me) because he's still not well, but he worries that he might make me sick. I reminded him that I took care of him and his brothers dozens and dozens of times when they were sick and rarely ever got sick myself. Made him a big cup of lemon water with extra absorbic acid to take with him to help his immune system.
to all who stop by this weekend. Hope everyone is well!

no accumulations but they say this week end will be heavy...
thanks for the prayers, I'm sure Robert appreciated the lemon water.
hectic day here, was up till 2.30 canning fruit butters, then got woke up with company, started my day on a full run and then they left and more company showed up, I am beat, tired, hungry and in a poor mood... lol I just need to breathe. but woke with a head ache and still have it!
I'm behind in what I was going to do today, so will try tomorrow, but tomorrow I have the lady coming for Bertie and her forever home... hoping she might take one of the siblings....I have a deaf cat still in the catio that wont come in and I am getting a cold just trying to coax him in so tonight he's outside... his choice@! then I feel like a bad mamma... but he does have straw and boxes to stay out of the weather.
anyway I know I am blessed, some days I wish the blessings would just start later in the morning and a bit slower..... lol
Waving to Kona, GG, Csue, Dix and anyone else showing up

SAR, hope your deaf cat finally came in, but at least it has shelter outside. The bitter cold coming is concerning, especially for outside critters. We might even get some snow later this next week. Got to seal off my leaky windows today! Hope you have an enjoyable time at the mini fair today!
Sending up more for Dave, Heather, and all IC'ers in need. Hope everyone stays safe and warm with the approaching snows and freezing temps.

Greetings! Hope everyone has been having a good week. It's been a fairly decent one for me so far, but within the next couple of hours we are expecting the to start, rapidly falling temperatures causing ice, and then a few inches of snow. I'm glad it's not deep snow like so many are getting but not looking forward to the frigid temps and brutal winds as it all moves in. Our high tomorrow is supposed to be 9 degrees. I'm well stocked up so won't need to go out until after Christmas when we are supposed to warm up slightly. Sending good wishes to all!

I was worried about you, PL.... iy is just now starting to here at 9 pm and the wind is just now picking up.. temps dropped 5 degrees the last hr.. Dave is here with the dogs so I don;t have to worry about him.... yesterday I made up pear butter, the other day did apple butter, and today did 3 gallons of Spiced (Dan;s recipe) and Rachal Ray 5 min fudge and my GF's peanut butter squared. tomorrow I hope to make english toffee bar, lemon bars, yule tide bars (oatmeal chewy) and butter balls.... maybe more if I can stand on my feet any more... then I am done. a few local neighbors are to come Sat evening but if weather is bad, we are all old and will just stay home.. lol.. I was so glad to see Heather and Kendra the other day... and here tests were benign but it is a large tumor on her cervix so in Jan they will talk about options,. hoping they just clean her out and be done.! Kona, I miss your brownies but I sure don;t need them... I pretend I send some up to Dan every Christmas morning... each yr I do less and less... and it is ok. I am just worried about the 24 yr old cats, I have straw stuffed in double boxes and also a heat lamp in a cave (safety) so it is the best I can do. the garage will get cold but never had water freeze up.. but the wind is to be horrible and that means posible power outages... I have a generator but not everyone does. anyway I'll check in when I can... I still have to cut and store the goodies I made tonight. stay safe , everyone.

Hi All! That's such good news for Heather and all of you! Our prayers were answered. Even if she has to have surgery to remove it she knows it's benign. The last time I made those brownies were for my Mom...Haven't made them since she passed. I'm glad I did get some to Dan for his last Christmas. My cousin usually makes them. If I have one I'll raise it up to him! We were lucky with the storm. We had all but it's still very windy. I think its worse tonight than it was all day. So far we have not lost power. The temps are dropping rapidly now. They say we may get a dusting of snow overnight from any leftover showers. Glad to hear you are having a good week plantlady and don't have to go out in the cold for anything. I thought I was good too but I just looked at some ingredients I need for a recipe tomorrow and saw the evaporated milk I just bought the other day is slightly out of date now. I'm ; mostly at myself cause I aways check dates, but at the store too. I don't want to chance it being a dairy product. If were just for me I'd use it (but not share with others) so I guess I'll have to bundle up and run to the little grocery store close by. Hopefully they will have some and the date will be good! I'm tired just listening to everything you are making Sue! I had to laugh about standing on your feet for any longer. I get like that too. I'll be doing most of my cooking tomorrow. I'm making a ham. I think I "turkeyed" everyone out on Thanksgiving. I do have a turkey in the freezer and already warned them it's coming out on Sunday night for New Years! lol I'm the cook and that's what they are getting. It's my favorite meal. I already made my Grandmother's Portuguese dressing and have two ready to go in the freezer. It goes good with ham too. I don't think I mentioned that my Dad just got over COVID. He was really sick for a few days, then about a week of heavy fatigue. It took over 10 days for him to test negative! He's not one to use any of my "holistic stuff". I think I could have had him feeling better sooner... At least he's better now. I heard (and was sure to tell him!) that there are more than a few strains going around and you only get immunity for the strain that you had. Also, that RSV thing that is going around is terrible. I know adults that were very sick for weeks with that. Stay safe & mask up everyone! I wanted to stop in tonight to wish all of you a Blessed Christmas. I'm afraid I won't have a chance before Sunday. Stay safe & warm and God Bless all of you!

Merry Christmas Eve everyone!
Glad to hear that Heather's tumor is benign, SAR. I hope that it will be taken care of and that she will feel better soon. Glad you have a generator in case it is needed. It got down below zero here Thursday night and water lines to my washing machine, bathroom sink and toilet froze. (The water lines are in the attic) The toilet freed up by yesterday morning and the sink finally is working today but I am still not able to do laundry. It's climbed up to a balmy 17 degrees right now (from 0 this morning). We only got a couple of inches of snow, thank goodness.
Kona, glad your dad is getting better. It's frustrating sometimes when people we care about don't understand or want to try natural methods to help themselves get better. And it's so important to continually work to keep our immune systems working well so that we can stay healthier. That can of milk may have been okay if it was only slightly out of date, but it's hard to know, isn't it? Sounds like you have your New Years Dinner all set!
Hope everyone is feeling well, keeping warm and having an enjoyable Holiday weekend!
