wow PL that will be interesting for your son! so sorry to hear it is still so bad for your sister...(((hugs))) It is very warm again here and the humidity is building, and Dan is mostly cold. we plan to take out the power supply today and if that does not fix the issues then a new motherboard. Remembering Timbo today as he spends his first b day in heaven. I sent a note to Connie and she is doing ok, going to celebrate his b day with old friends at a restaurant they used to go to for b days and anniversaries. hope August is a good month... with all the news and change ups, who knows what the next second holds!

Thanks SAR. My sister is resting peacefully at the hospice facility since they are medicating her to keep her calm and pain free. My sister Laura sent me pictures and short video clips of her. It's so heartbreaking to see how she is fading away from us. My son was informed that the tv station wants him to cover the NASA personnel and other scientists as they broadcast live during the eclipse instead of the Ozzy concert. He's not happy about it, but they want their best reporters and videographers there for that. Saturday I went to the nursing home/rehab center to visit my 88 year old neighbor Nettie plus my former next door neighbor Liz. Nettie seems to be getting weaker and her kids are leaning toward not bringing her home and instead putting her in a nursing home or assisted living center. Those of us who live here will miss her so much! :( Hope your computer problems are better now, SAR. Amazing that Dan is cold even with the heat and humidity. :( Sending love to all.

Prayers continue for PL and her sisters for the peace and comfort for Donna,. hope everyone else is enjoying the summer, it is amazing how fast it has passed!

Oh no, SAR....was hoping you had the computer issues fixed. :( Went to the chiro yesterday and he adjusted my foot, then had me get a deep foot muscle massage and then physical therapy on it. That's the foot that was stuck and twisted under the dashboard when I had the accident 2 years ago. I've had a lot of therapy on it last year but it's giving me problems again. It doesn't help that I have old linoleum tiles on top of concrete in this apartment. Rough on the feet. Anyway, more therapy next week...I haven't heard from my sisters yet today about Donna. She's still medicated to calm her nervous system (preventing muscle spasms and seizures) and to keep her pain free, but not receiving anything else. I dread the phone call saying she's gone yet I know she would not want to keep suffering either. A volunteer comes and plays a harp, which my sisters say is really beautiful. Please keep her in your prayers. Lots of news and attention being paid to the solar eclipse here. I think I will stay home since the highways and businesses are going to be overloaded all over the area. Time to stock up! It looks like most of the country will get to see at least a partial eclipse but we get the longest one this time and in 2024 again! Really weird. Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying summer.

My sister Laura called me a little while ago. She and my sister Leslie were with Donna and raised the head of the bed up so she could breathe better. They each gave her a hug. She took two breaths and then was gone. We knew this day was coming and are glad that she is no longer suffering but it hurts so much to lose her. We will miss her so much.

PL, so sorry for your loss. She's no longer in pain anyway. Keeping you and your family in my thoughts during this difficult time. It's been so hot and dry here. I've been watering the and garden everyday. The grass is so dry it crunches under my feet. I haven't mowed it for a long time, it isn't growing. But yesterday we had a thunderstorm and a lot of came down for about 20 minutes or so. Not sure if that was enough to make much of a different then. It turned sunny and hot again right after the little storm. There was a big family gathering and bbq at my sister's place next door. My niece, her daughter and my nephew's little boy came to visit from Calgary. The little boy, Ray, is the same age as my grandson Emerson. The kids had a great time playing together. Farrah, Jamie and families were here too. So nice to see everyone. Fred had to stay in the pen, he gets too excited around people. Sar, I hope your computer gets fixed soon!

Thank you all for your kind thoughts. My boys came over and spent time with me last night and brought something to eat. I am glad for their comfort and support. Having a hard time this morning, naturally, but it must be far harder for my other two sisters as they deal with Donna's cremation and affairs. Sadly, Donna's boys weren't around that much and her daughter just moved to Colorado because she had been accepted to a veterinary college there. I'm so thankful that my sisters are retired now and were able to spend so much time with her. And especially I'm glad that they were there with her in her last moments.
CSue, I posted something, maybe the word "cry" recently and the icon for that posted too, so at the time I deleted it and changed the word. Sometimes we want those icons, sometimes we don't!
