Well, what a blustery Sunday for the start of November! we have had , sun, wind and snow all in the same HOUR! it is freakish! and the sun shone as I typed and now it is snowing.... Kona I'm glad you popped in and I hear you about not being ready for the cold! I got all the kitties in their spaces and an agency is taken the 4 orphans in the barn, (such a blessing! with any luck there will be no cats in the barn.. now to get the ferals off the porch but from 16 counting all babies born this spring there are only 7-8 left and they are probably going to be feeding the fledgling hawks as sad as it is, but they will not be caught, and all we can do is they die quickly. love and prayers for all

I will be scarce tomorrow trying to not watch all the news till later tomorrow.....
the crowds at the 5 daily rallies ARE JUST STAGGERING! praying all evil and corruption of voting be bound and chained and truth prevails!
hugs and prayers for all

So glad you are getting help with some of those kitties, SAR. Sounds like you and Rick have come to some kind of an agreement about living arrangements.
Yes, the crowds are staggering! Whether that can overcome the massive amount of corporate money that is being spent on the other side remains to be seen.
We had a hard freeze last night but I managed to save some of my plants by surrounding them on the porch with mylar car window shades and throwing a couple of sheets over it. I picked all of my green tomatoes and peppers the day before. There were a lot of small and medium sized ones so hopefully I'll have fresh tomatoes for the next month or so. It's warming back up and will get up to 70 during the day by the weekend.
Restrained my knee (ACL) the other day so walking has been painful the last several days. It's improved a little with help from my chiro and stretching exercises. The ortho doctor told me they don't usually do surgery for it at my age. Oh such fun.

SAR I hope things work out with the VA for him. Sounds like a good possible solution. Nice weather here this week so trying to work outside as much as I am able to.
Randy is still waiting to hear about the job at the university. Still crossing my fingers and praying. Apparently it was down to him and one one other candidate. Rob is sick with sinus, etc. and I'm sure him wearing a mask all day at work didn't help that situation. My knee is improving very gradually. I know it will never be normal again, but as long as it is functional and not hurting too much I can tolerate it. LOL
Will be so glad when this election mess is over!!!!

Sad news.... Randy didn't get the job at the university and he lost another job in the meantime because the process took so long. Praying that something good will come along very soon.

oh no, PL I so sorry he did not get it, but sometimes God says no to prepare for a big Yes! that is even better! will keep prayers going for Randy, and for your knee to keep improving.
I have a lot going on here, and by the time I sit own I just want to read to catch upo and some nights I am too stiff and sore to post.... we have a few more good days before the nasty cold really sets in.
Rick is still looking at places but there is "something" with every one we look at... I so do not want to get nasty aboyut this.....we found a reall cute 2 bedroom apt at a really good price more like a condo,. but he doesn;t want to sign a yr lease. guy wants to rent him a room but it is in oberlin and the price is higher then the lovely apt! so prayers for this to end nicely would be appreciated.
right now I am chilling out alone, I even got cats in the other room ....Rick is at his moms so I am alone... gloriously alone and quiet....
And I am so tired I am ready for bed... lol at 8 pm I am OLD!

Oh SAR, crossing my fingers that you can get this living arrangement issue resolved!
Randy came by yesterday and finally brought the big tv back, mounted it on the stand he bought me a couple of years ago, and then helped me cover the window and air conditioner with plastic. As far as the job, at the last minute they revealed that the job was going to be a bit different than what he thought he had applied for so maybe it was for the best. He's looking into other things.
Went to the CPAP doc this morning and they would not see me without a mask even though I had told them ahead of time that I could not wear one. (They said one of their employees had been exposed to COVID). They took the CPAP, made a new order for supplies and gave it back to me. I am so frustrated. I can't breathe through a mask but I can't get medical help for that issue unless I wear one. Makes me want to scream. So sick of all of this.
It's in the 70's today but temps will be dropping back to more normal 50's and 60's after this, I guess. I hope you are all doing well and doing things you enjoy.

Hi. I just want to thank you all for thoughts and prayers for my daughter. She is very private, but as another daughter said, "Adding an ambulance is a game changer." Our eldest daughter, Beth, will have bypass surgery Nov. 19. It has been a challenging week. And it's only half over! But I am sure she is in good hands and we will get through this. The good news is that she has NOT had any attacks. They couldn't complete the cath because of where the blockage is located. So that's what we've been dealing with since Friday. I am trying to get an article written for my client. I am NOT in the mood for it. And it has to be

Sending prayers up for your daughters, GG. It's totally understandable why it is difficult for you to concentrate on writing right now. Your family has a lot on its plate.
SAR, sorry that you are dealing with vertigo. Do you know what is causing it? I got vertigo therapy a few years ago and it really has helped. I think mine was from a head injury.
Don't think I mentioned it but I found out the other day that the perverted man that lived next to me a couple of years ago passed away last week. I feel badly for his sons since they had to avoid him because of his perversions. They couldn't allow him around their children (or even their spouses/girlfriends). Now they have to bury him.
Went to the chiro this morning. It always lifts my spirits to go there.
to all who stop by.

the realitor just called Rick to get ready to sign some papers. this is a different house, right in town in Wellington... and a split like mine.
he is at his moms tonight, tomorrow and Sunday again, he was working on the last area that holds water and floods into the house today.
Today, Gracie Lynn ran across the bridge and is back with her sister Dottie and sweet Ashley.. sh had a good, long run, and passed very gently in her tote and her family... run fast and free Miss Gracie.

SAR, Gracie Lynn was a very sweet looking cat. That rainbow bridge has been well traveled at your place the last few years. Wow, so Rick may be getting his own place soon.... I think there are different causes for vertigo and you need to get checked to see what might be causing it. It can be from fluid build up from infections or allergies, head injuries and other things. I got my vertigo therapy from the physical therapist at my chiro's office. My friend Nettie (who passed away this year) went there for the same thing a few years ago and it helped her too. I hope you can get yours fixed!
The big tv quit working again but at least I still have a smaller tv to watch. Probably the next stop for the big one will be the recycling center. The tv is close to 10 years old.
Continuing prayers for GG and her family and for Kona, CSue and anyone else needing them today.
