I read your blog post too, PL. So sad and just terrible that justice hasn't been done yet! Surely someone knows something!
The last couple days here haven't been so hot. Today isn't going to be either so I'm going to mow the lawn. The heat is returning on Saturday. My nephew and his girlfriend who live next door to me are getting married on Saturday at their place outside on their lawn. Farrah, Jamie and Lisa and their kids are coming over to it and camping on my lawn. They both have big tents. Son-in-law Jeff isn't able to make it though, a cousin from his home town is coming to visit him this weekend. I think all the little ones are coming, Piper is for sure. Jamie and Lisa might decide to get her parents to look after the boys.
PL, I hope you get the a/c fixed in your vehicle! Have a great day everyone!

Thank you both.
Yes, they only had to put a little freon in the car's a/c but at least I'm hopefully good for the summer. Got the oil changed and they put new wipers on it as my old ones were getting really rusty.
CS sounds like fun times at your place this weekend. How cool!
Excessive heat and humidity here for the next week, probably. Not planning on going out any more than I have to!

Piper is half grown up already. She'll be a teenager before you know it!
Went out Friday shopping and it didn't feel like the a/c was very cool so will check it tomorrow and if it's not I guess I'll be calling the mechanic again.
We had a strong thunderstorm this afternoon. Knocked over one of my tomato plants. Tied it back up but I hope the main stem wasn't damaged. It's literally COVERED with tomatoes.
Hope you are all well and doing something that you enjoy this week.

I am a hot mess.. I just found out a dear dear man that helped with all my water flooding problems, died last week... I do not know what happened.. but they said "took his own life" the man I KNEW loved his wife, loved his kids and absolutely adorned his grand kids.. he was a Christian man and just someone you really were glad you knew,,,,,, my is broken yet again, I did not know I had so many tears to cry for him, his lovely wife and all the kids and grands that are devastated. Paul looked out for me after Dan died, and was always telling me if I needed anything to call him. so pleaser for Paul and his family.....

Boy is it ever, SAR. With the humidity the heat index it's over 100 degrees here. Completely miserable.
Took the car in for the a/c Friday. They told me it is the evaporator core and gave me an estimate of $942 (most of that labor) to fix it. I was upset, putting it mildly. When I took it in last week it was still working and knew that I had a slow leak for the last three years but all of a sudden after they work on it I lose all the freon??? THEN....on my way home I went to grab something on the front seat as I was turning a corner and ran up to an over a curb, bending the rim and ruining the tire on my front passenger side. I came home and cried.
I asked around and found another auto business recommendation, so got a better estimate. Good thing I held on to most of that stimulus money so I can pay for it. My insurance paid for a tow truck guy to put my spare tire on and I took the damaged one to the auto place so they can order me a new one to put on Wed. when I take the car in to get the a/c fixed.
Also fell and landed on my right knee Thursday so it's a little swollen and sore but I don't think it's serious. And then....grrr....I went to put a Corelle plate on the counter as I was passing through the kitchen on my way to the bathroom and didn't get it on there enough and it fell and shattered into a thousand pieces. Luckily none of the glass shards hit me but I'm still finding bits in weird places, like even on top of my stove vent! What a week. When it rains, it pours.... All this COVID stuff, being alone almost all the time, and the awful violence is just getting to me on top of that. Sorry to be in such a funk today.
Hope things are better for the rest of you lately!

PL this Covid and isolation is really having an effect on so many but especially those alone...or have little contact with others.'
if this comes out as a ploy for compliance or political tyranny after almost collapsing the ecomony.. and or if this is biological warfare.. I hope heads will roll
I hope your knee is better by now!
to day 95 and you can;t breathe outside.... but storms are coming and then we're to get some relief.
stay safe everyone!

Thanks SAR. My knee is improving.
Took the car in yesterday and it might have been done today except that the new part they were putting in turned out to be defective so they had to order another one that should be there soon. Probably won't get the car back until tomorrow, unfortunately. Had to cancel my chiro appointment in the morning.
It's supposed to cool down a little and only be in the low 80's the next few days so I hope that happens over by you too.
I fear that this whole mess has either been engineered to bring us to our knees or is being used as an excuse to do it. At any rate, I will NOT take Gates' vaccine, period.
Several tomatoes got ripened this week so been picking them and just about to get my first cucumber. Picked the kale and cooked it up the other day. Peppers growing also.
for nicer weather for us all and a stop to the insanity that we are having to deal with these days!
