I bet Fred was excited with the kids there, but sometimes things do get scary for the younger ones.
Yes I really like this so much better, I have not paid for ad free yet, but will eventually .. since I am working on it I am doing so many hits and page views and I want to get it the way I want it then pay. since we are such a small group I will be doing major re constructing... it you happen to see 2 differ forums close to the same name I am bringing things over then will put what I want to keep in the PB forum and eventually delete the old. as I copy over (by hand) I will try to remember to put the original date posted of the threads we keep

Hello all. Glad you are making progress on this board, SAR. It sure loads faster than Yuku and Tapatalk. Thank you for the kind thoughts, Kona and CSue. CSue, border collies can be like a bull in a china shop sometimes being so hyper. I had to keep Nova away from Hannah when she was little because I was afraid Nova would accidentally knock her over. When Hannah got bigger and I was letting Hannah pet her, she shied away from Hannah because she remembered me keeping her away years before. It was hard to make her understand that it was okay now. Border collies have such a memory! Terribly hot and humid here and looks to get worse as the week goes on with heat indexes over 100 degrees. I was only outside for about 15 minutes this morning watering my plants before my neck starting itching from heat rash. I got several things done inside this morning, including making laundry detergent and installing a rod and hanging curtains in the bedroom (It's been bugging me for 4 years not having curtains in there). Gradually cleaning, getting rid of things and trying to reorganize. I just got word that a childhood friend of Ryan's was hit by a car while riding his motorcycle this morning. His mom says he's in the hospital but no word on his condition. Sending for him. My 88 year old neighbor Nettie has been having a tough time so I've been trying to keep an eye on her. Thankfully her brother and his wife are staying with her until her daughter arrives tomorrow night. Nettie fell, then got a bad urinary infection and then had a reaction to the medication (Cipro). Poor woman! for her too! The past week has just been crazy.

Sue you have been busy!! They have not moved my board, yet. But no one is even cking it out. So I am thinking there are only a few who would follow me.
I too would use the board to share on a newer board. I have had a proboard for years too. As a back up. I will email you, Sue! Love the smileys!
Hugs for all who need them xoxo

SAR, I don't think three ads is bad and that certainly wouldn't bother me. Asking for prayers for my sister Donna and for my 88 year old neighbor Nettie. Both are in the hospital right now. Last I heard, doctors were concerned about Nettie's and her daughter didn't come back here last night or today so I assume she's staying at the hospital with Nettie and that it's serious. :( They are doing tests (hospital in Tucson) on Donna and we may not know all the results more for 3 or 4 days, but she has symptoms of CJD which is terminal. She's badly deteriorated in the last three weeks to the point that she cannot do anything for herself. Her right arm will go up in the air and stiffen and she isn't even aware it is happening. Thankfully she's not in any pain and so far seems to have a sense of humor. My is broken. I hope and it is something they can fix and she will be okay but at this moment it's not looking good.

Weird. I had trouble with logging in but seems okay now. My neighbor Nettie's daughter told me that they discovered she had a fractured pelvis from falling three weeks ago and an aneurism on her aorta. She got out of ICU yesterday and will soon be taken to the nursing home/rehab center where my former next door neighbor Liz lives so they will get to visit. Apparently the full CT body scan showed no cancer in my sister Donna so they can rule that out as a cause for her problems. They will be moving her to an nursing home today or tomorrow since she is not able to take care of herself at all now. Getting a slight break from the oppressive heat indexes but still very warm. Hope you all had a good weekend and will have a pleasant and productive week ahead.

I am sorry to hear about your sister, Donna. How old is she? I hope they run more test. And, not just leave her in a nursing home.
Sounds like your neighbor is in good hands.
Sending prayers for all.
I am not having problems with the ads. How much for ad free?

How much for add free...
at the bottom of these pages there is somethingsaying get rid of ads, click here, I think it is 6.00 for 50,000 views.. but remember to open the page, click on forum you want, click a thread, click to reply click to read maybe click to edit, click to read and then click to go somewhere else.. so that is 6 to 8 clicks to read one subject. YUKU offered 12.00 a yr, then your clicks did not count. this is 6.00 a month then it goes up from there. I would wish they would offer a supporter type thing and your clicks would not count.
anyway I have not paid cause when I have time I am bringing over threads form old yuku to here and that is 6-8 clicks for each thing. I would hit 50,00 in a week. but I am going to eventually.

My sister Laura called me late last night. Donna's condition has worsened. When Laura left the hospital, Donna no longer recognized her. Prior to that Donna was uncontrollably shouting obscenities and having uncontrollable movements. The hospital staff said they had never dealt with anything like that before. She was moved to ICU where they are trying to keep her calm and her blood pressure down. So far they have not discovered anything that would point to anything other than CJD but the only proof of that diagnosis can come from an autopsy. :( LF she is 58. If she is going to leave us we hope that it will not be long so she won't have to continue suffering. Everyone please for her.

Thank you Kona. SAR, now apparently Donna is unresponsive. They have moved her to a neuro unit and will be doing another MRI of her brain. They've even wondered if she is having some kind of immune response which is attacking her brain, but don't know and so far tests have ruled out that and cancer. Laura sent me a picture of her a little while ago with the respirator mask and other equipment on. It just looks like whatever she was is gone, like an empty shell. So heartbreaking. Hard for me to think about anything else today. Praying for miracles.
