Ancient Martian River 5G, Coronavirus, & the Future: Filmmaker Ben Stewart believes there is a growing mistrust of political, corporate, and scientific systems among the general public. In the first half of Tuesday's show, he offered a vision of the future as technology continues to evolve and merge with our existence. He also spoke about 5G, the coronavirus, and the 'Deep State.' 5G (the next-generation standard for mobile networks) requires the placement of many more antennas than 4G, and works on millimeter waves. It will be magnitudes faster and allow for such things as driverless cars, remote surgery, downloading of entire movies in three seconds, and increased surveillance, he reported. Stewart has studied the issue of whether 5G transmissions will be detrimental to human health as the planet becomes surrounded by these waves, and found evidence on both sides. In the latter half of Tuesday's show, he discussed a surge in negative energy and curses being experienced by a variety of his clients, and what he's doing to neutralize the detrimental effects. He detailed the case of a woman who inherited an heirloom ring that seemed to be cursed or cause negative behaviors. Many times, he noted, curses can be sent unconsciously, such as the "evil eye," when a person covets something that someone else has. Typically, when someone is cursed, it plays out with a string of bad luck, he explained, rather than any type of supernatural occurrences. Read the full recap here. Most of us have heard about strange pandemic dreams or experienced some ourselves. But now, comes a new report that ghostly activity is also on the rise in the COVID-19 era. While many of the reports have a poltergeist-like flavor of objects inexplicably moving around or light switches turning on unbidden, some involve full-body apparitions. See more here. Weekend Edition May 18, 2020 Coast Insider Audio Rendlesham UFO Conspiracy: In the first half of Sunday night's program, paranormal investigator Nick Redfern joined George Knapp to discuss an intriguing alternative theory for the infamous Rendlesham Forest UFO case. The December 1980 case in which military personnel experienced a series of strange encounters in the wilderness of England has long been suspected by many in the UFO research community of being some kind of extraterrestrial visitation. However, Redfern said the story he has investigated "takes things in a different direction but no less controversial," positing that the incident was actually a series of top-secret experiments using holograms and hallucinogenics designed "to see how the human mind could be affected when faced with something alternative, shocking, and amazing on the battlefield." Get the full story here. ForestUFOs Consciousness & Remote Viewing: In the latter half of Sunday's program, defense and aerospace journalist Nick Cook talked about his new suspense novel The Grid, which explores a world wherein human consciousness has become a battlefield by way of advanced science and the modern surveillance state. Although the book is fiction, he explained that the story is informed by his extensive research into exotic technology and the United States government's clandestine remote viewing program. To that end, he said that while the plot ventures "into some thriller-ish and imaginative domains, at no point do I think that I've gone any further than the realm of the possible." Learn more. Investigating the Paranormal on Navajo Lands: Navajo Lands On Saturday night's program, veteran law enforcement officer Jonathan Dover joined George Knapp for a riveting discussion about his work officially investigating and documenting significant cases involving UFOs, Bigfoot, Skinwalkers, and other strange activity on Navajo Nation lands. Explaining that the region encompasses a whopping 27,000 square miles of land and is home to around 450,000 people, he mused that "the reports have always been there," but they had largely only been anecdotal until he and his partner in the Navajo Nation Rangers were tasked with looking into such calls. Although less than one percent of their overall work involved high strangeness, Dover noted, these reports were often truly amazing events. Get the full scoop here. Today in Strangeness: On this day in 1897, a public reading of Bram Stoker's new novel Dracula was staged in London. The tremendous find was reportedly made by Gareth Linnard, Branden Holmes and Mike Williams while scouring through the catalog of Australia's National Film and Sound Archive. Check out the awesome footage here. Last Known Thylacine Natural Healing: Dr. Joel Wallach shared alternative health approaches and the benefits of remedies and supplements that aid in the body's recovery from many diseases and ailments. Responding to the latest developments with the coronavirus pandemic, he observed that young children who get the virus seem to only have cold-like symptoms as opposed to seniors, who are far more likely to be severely impacted and possibly die from the disease. Wallach postulated that this is because older individuals have had a lifetime of eating gluten which, he said, causes an inability to absorb zinc and that, in turn, weakens the immune system. Palmistry & Predictions: In the latter half, Vernon Mahabal, founder and director of the Palmistry Institute in Los Angeles, discussed the practice of palm reading and made predictions about trends based on repeated patterns he sees in the thousands of palms he reads. He noted that palmists discern very specific information from each hand, with the right providing insight into "a person's career and their life's purpose" and the left indicates "what a person's like internally." Mahabal also clarified a common misconception about the practice by explaining that the so-called 'life line' actually has more to do with an individual's familial relationships rather than their lifespan and that fingertips as well as the length of the fingers are far more informative to the reader. Get the full scoop here. Alien Beach Party: Alien Beach Party C2C listener Douglas shares this photo of a weird 'alien party' that he stumbled upon while walking along the beach in San Diego one morning back in April of 1995. Green Egg Yolk Economic Uncertainty: Financial journalist Lawrence Light is an editor and writer for CBS Moneywatch. In the first half of Monday's show, he discussed why he believes the economy is on the brink of a severe downturn and possible depression. In his novel, Crash, co-written with David Hagberg, they depict a debt-ladled world in which China and the US get into a conflict, as international business tycoons decide to meltdown the financial system. In some ways, their novel mirrors our current scenario, with the economy taking a major hit during the pandemic. While the US government and Federal Reserve have tried to keep the economy afloat through enormous spending, their efforts can't last, he warned. Some businesses won't come back, which will compound the unemployment problem, and possibly lead us into a second Great Depression, as many formerly middle-class workers hit the skids. "When a movie or piece of entertainment comes out that has certain imagery or concepts," he explained, "it will then be reflected in what contactees and eyewitnesses report, and vice versa-- with those reports influencing entertainment." Sagers reviewed different modes of paranormal-themed content such as cable TV's unscripted shows, which sometimes favor amped-up drama over humdrum reality. Get the complete scoop. Short-lived global unraveling repeats every 100 years, followed by major rebirth, he suggested. For example, he cited how in 1318, there was famine and Bubonic plague along with the Little Ice Age; in 1618, during a Saturn-Pluto alignment there was the outbreak of war that killed over 30% of the European population; and in 1914-1918 we had WWI and the Spanish Influenza pandemic (also during a Saturn-Pluto alignment). Differentiating fungi from mushrooms, he explained that they are like the fruit of a tree. Mushrooms are the part of the organism that produces spores (the equivalent of seeds), "but for most fungi, they live their lives as branching networks of tubular cells," or mycelial networks, he said, which can be below the ground, in the soil, in wood, or animal bodies. Some networks can be as tiny as the head of a pin, while others are vast, such as a fungal network in Oregon that spills across 10 square kilometers and is between 2,000 and 10,000 years old. Some news accounts have compared the anomalous craft captured in the military footage to missiles and drones, but such objects, he noted, cannot reach velocities of 60,000 mph that the UFOs demonstrated. In the FLIR footage (shot by a pilot aboard the USS Nimitz in 2004), he did a frame by frame review and found that the object appears to split into two monopoles (related graphic), and has a vortex spiral structure.
