"You have to throw out the Copernican model [of the heliocentric solar system] completely," he said. In addition, he suggested biblical authors, and by extension the Holy Spirit whom he believes inspired their writings, taught the Earth was flat. The puzzling oddity was reportedly spotted last weekend on the Pacific coast beach of Destiladeras near the popular tourist destination of Puerto Vallarta. The people who found the curious carcass initially thought it was that of a dolphin, but their theory was seemingly upended when they got a closer look at the creature. Learn more. VirginMaryArgentinaNL Urban Survival: Martial artist, survival expert, and author Stefan Verstappen joined Richard Syrett (Twitter) in the first half on Friday to discuss step-by-step instructions on how to form communities to solve many, if not all, of the social ills and problems plaguing our world. From health, finance, and disaster, they discussed how anyone can form a community to separate from a system and governments Verstappen called "psychopathic, saying "the more we can separate ourselves from them the better it is for us." Verstappen believes that the end of modern self-reliance came with the start of government assistance programs in the 1930s. Read the full story here. Are You a Coast Insider? Today in Strangeness: On this date in 1903, the first teddy bear went on sale in America at a toy store owned by Russian immigrants in Brooklyn. Weekend Edition February 17, 2020 Coast Insider Audio Crop Circle Discoveries: Janet Ossebaard became fascinated by crop circles after visiting a formation in 1994. From then on, she spent all of her summer months in southern England, the 'cradle' of the phenomenon. In the second half of Saturday's show with Richard Syrett, she shared her research, along with her feelings about the link between crop circles and an alien intelligence. Although she used to believe that all crop formations were created by humans, Ossebaard said the first circle she visited made her feel as if she was meditating, "even though I had never meditated." She maintains that the best evidence for anomalous crop formations are "biophysical changes in the plants," such as alterations in the seeds, bends in the stems, and "blown out nodes." Ossebaard said the circles appear where an "energy implant" is left in the field, days or even months before, and is then triggered by a type of energy that bends the crops in a pattern that is already present. Get the full scoop here. Crop Circle The Hidden Nazi: General Hans Kammler was responsible for the construction of Hitler's slave labor sites and concentration camps and personally altered the design of Auschwitz concentration camp to make it, as Dean Reuter described, an even more efficient "assembly-line of death." Reuter appeared in the first half of Saturday's program to discuss his astonishing discovery of US government documents that show Kammler was in American custody for months after the war, well after his officially declared death. Reuter said that Kammler was an early member of the Nazi Party in the 1930s, and even became one of the top two party officials by the end of the war. According to other SS officials, he was described as "the worst person I've ever seen," said Reuter. More details here. Are You a Coast Insider? Internet Drug Lord: In the first half of Sunday's show, journalist Evan Ratliff joined George Knapp to discuss the criminal empire of Paul Le Roux, who, as a computer programmer, started an online prescription drug network, supplying hundreds of millions of dollars' worth of painkillers to American customers. Le Roux's initial scheme involved doctors and pharmacists who didn't realize they were doing anything illegal. The DEA began looking at the network when some 50 million pills were sold per year. Le Roux was raking in millions and employed several thousand people working in call centers to staff the operation, Ratliff recounted. He starting converted his cash into gold bars, and then hired security contractors to protect his investments, which also included illicit drugs like cocaine. Read the full story here. Missing Indigenous Women: Somebody's Daughter In the latter half of Sunday's show, , the executive director of the Global Indigenous Council (hour 3), and David Sickey, Vice-Chairman of the Coushatta Tribe, (hour 4) brought to light the continuing crisis of missing or murdered Native women, as revealed in the documentary, "Somebody's Daughter" (view trailer). Native American women are the most assaulted, raped, and trafficked of any group in North America, and are ten times more likely to be the victim of homicide, cited. One of the reasons that law enforcement has often failed in these cases is due to an "inter-jurisdictional maze," explained. Groups such as tribal law enforcement, federal law enforcement, FBI, and county and state police do not work cooperatively together. View the full summary here. Today in Strangeness: It was on this date in 1795 that a man yanked a 17 lb. potato from his garden in Chester, England. Hello tater tots!... She'll discuss time travel, ancient aliens, ESP and various UFO sightings and abductions including Betty and Barney Hill.

February 18, 2020 Coast Insider Audio Rare Phenomenon of 'Ice Volcanoes' Seen on Lake Michigan: A combination of very cold temperatures and large waves created the rare phenomenon of "ice volcanoes" along the shore of Lake Michigan over the weekend. The cone-shaped mounds of ice form as water bursts through the ice shelf. "It needs to stay cold enough to keep the ice around," explained Cort Spholten, a National Weather Service meteorologist stationed at Grand Rapids, "and waves need to be large enough to force water upwards against the ice shelf." Find out more here. Ice Volcano Astrology of Presidential Candidates: In the first half of Monday's show, astrologer Mark Lerner celebrated President's Day by reviewing the charts of various presidents as well as those of this year's presidential candidates. Donald Trump's chart connects more to the 1776 US birth chart than any other President he's studied, Lerner revealed, which is part of the reason he defeated Hillary. Trump, he pointed out, will need to win the same three swing states he won in 2016 to be reelected-- Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. Mike Bloomberg's astrological chart is also connected to the United States, he cited, and has the powerful planet of Saturn at the top of it. Plus, Lerner continued, Bloomberg has slightly better upcoming cycles than Trump, with Jupiter and Saturn moving into prominence. Get the full story here. Are You a Coast Insider? The Alien Puzzle: In the second half of Monday's show, author, counselor, and former Florida State Section Director for MUFON, Diane Tessman, discussed theories behind the UFO enigma and aliens, as well as various encounters with mysterious humanoid beings. Rather than hailing from other planets, she has concluded that the aliens visiting us are likely time travelers from our own future, and that our children's children may be their ancestors. If they were coming from other planets, they would be less likely to be humanoid in appearance, she suggested, and the ones that look insectoid could be arriving from a drastically different time period, than say the Nordics. February 19, 2020 Coast Insider Audio 'Demonic Sounds' Prompt Call to Police: In a strange case out of Colorado, police officers working the overnight shift were dispatched to a fast food restaurant after workers called with concerns about hearing mysterious and unsettling sounds. The weird call reportedly came into the Pueblo police department from a McDonald's in the city at around 3:30 in the morning this past Thursday. In the first half of Tuesday's show, he outlined various issues with the criminal justice system. After his last appearance on C2C, he received many letters from inmates in multiple prisons around the US (Coast is a popular show among the incarcerated). Many of the letter-writers proclaimed their innocence, and Gray believes that a number of people have been falsely imprisoned. He recently spoke with the Director of the Innocence Project in San Diego, who said that during his years investigating cases, he has personally walked out of jail some 19 or 20 inmates who turned out to be "factually innocent." Origin Mysteries: Paul Anthony Wallis is a speaker and author of books on spirituality and mysticism. In the latter half of Tuesday's show, he discussed the mythologies of ancient Sumeria, Mesoamerica, and Greece and how they reveal a profound secret about human origins, hidden in plain sight in the Old Testament. Specifically, he believes that the Book of Genesis contains clues that refer to extraterrestrial visitations and influences, derived from earlier sources. Various descriptions of anomalies like the snake in the Garden of Eden, the Tower of Babel, and the Great Flood can be understood in a different light, he suggested. If you interpret the plural word "elohim" as the "powerful ones" rather than God, you can see how elohim could acutally be referring to the "Sky People" or Anunnaki from the Sumerian texts, he explained. Get the full scoop here. Stanton Friedman to be Honored with Museum Exhibit: NotHauntedHouse The life and work of legendary UFO researcher Stanton Friedman will be celebrated later this year by way of an exhibit at a museum in Canada. February 20, 2020 Coast Insider Audio Pair of Mystery Booms Heard in Arizona: A mystery boom heard in Arizona over the weekend was seemingly sufficiently explained until yet another blast rocked the region a few days later, leaving residents and authorities flummoxed. The curious case reportedly began this past Sunday morning when several people in the state's Yavapai County reported hearing a thunderous sound that raised concerns among many witnesses. "It was so shocking, so loud I started scanning the horizon and looking for a mushroom cloud," recalled Bruce Bilbrey, "I thought some kind of a massive bomb or something had gone off." Read more. VirginMaryArgentinaNL Alternative Banking: Founder of the Public Banking Institute, Ellen Brown developed her research skills as an attorney practicing civil litigation. In the first half of Wednesday's show, she talked about ways to reform finance and the banking system. Banks, Brown explained, create most of the nation's money supply when they issue loans-- monetizing people's credit in effect. If citizens and their states owned community or public banks themselves (as in North Dakota) it would democratize money, she said, and remove the predatory aspects of commercial banking. She also advocated for a universal basic income (similar to Andrew Yang's proposal of $1,000 a month) and suggested these funds could be mandated to help people pay off their debt. Voodoo & Marie Laveau: In the latter half of Wednesday's show, author and spiritual advisor, Denise Alvarado, born and raised in the Voodoo rich culture of New Orleans, discussed the practice of Creole Voodoo, and the life of the Voodoo queen of New Orleans, Marie Laveau. A free woman of color, Laveau lived in the 19th-century and combined her devout Catholicism with Voodoo practices, herbalism, and rootwook, all with the approval of the local Catholic church. Rather than a nefarious figure, she was a philanthropist and nurse, Alvarado reported. She helped many in her community who were struggling with epidemics of the era, gave slaves on the run a home, and buried people in her tomb who couldn't afford interment. Get the full story here. Coming on the heels of Pearl Harbor, it was suspected that the mysterious craft signaled an air attack by Japan. There were multiple incidents over the city that night with people sighting clusters of small objects, he recounted.
