Sar, how nice of your half sisters to come and visit you!
PL, keeping your friend and other friend's grandson in my prayers.
We've been having some nice sunny days, lots of snow melting. River watches are still on with one river at flood level. But tomorrow we got snow coming! Sort of depressing but it will melt fast with the warmer weather after this mess is done. We are on our way to spring no matter what!

Wow, how nice you got to visit with both half sisters, SAR! Not sure what you meant about the rocks and the driveway... How do they help? Do you have a photo? More snow, CSue? The 15 year old with the brain cancer had surgery and is home now. I haven't heard about if or what further treatments he might get. He is in good spirits and has a lot of support. Worked outside a little this morning and also got a couple of windows washed. Nice to be able to see through them! Yesterday I cleaned and vacuumed the inside of my car. Little things, but it feels good to have them done. Hope everyone is having a GOOD week and doing things they enjoy.

PL putting rocks in the drive instead of culverts I really think culverts will not hold the volume and pressure of the floods when they come. plus it is another several thousands of dollars to put them in, I already have thousands in this drive.!
I woke with head pressure and trying to fight it with herbs and tinctures.
hope everyone has a great week end.

PL, we have not had a heavy yet for me to see how it will work... we are to have some this week, so I guess we'll see! I was washing clothes all day..... bed linens and hung out in the sun and breeze, then I took the vacuum apart and cleaned it all ready for the new season. I'm cooking potatoes, carrots, onions, green beans and cream of chicken soup and cream of mushroom soup and added grilled chicken strips and chopped ham... not sure what it will make but it sure smells good! they have NOT picked up the mowing tractor, so I do not know when... but if it dries up a bit I might try to mow once anyway! still too muddy to even get into the yards to dig up plants.. Waving to GG, PL, CSue, Kona, Plan B, Speecher, and anyone else that pops in....... hope you all have a good evening.

We have all day but not hard enough to see if the driveway holds up. Vera and I went to the winery for dinner last night and they had a great band. we had a great time. there was a gentleman 78 yrs old and his wife 69.. they danced EVERY day and were so cute! he'd dip her and swing her around we held our breathe several times, but he always held on to her.. lol what fun watching them... me I am sore but danced all most all the dances... today I am taking it slow my body decided to rebel against me... lol hope you all have a great week. I am seeing peeks of green leaves trying to open. :)

Busy here, too, PL.... hit the floor running yesterday and never stopped....
today it is too windy to be outside even though it is 78 out!
one could get hurt from de bree!
Easter is upon us,
I think I had the sad days this week cause I always made a basket for Dan and the Easter Bunny hid it, and he'd have to look for it, he was aggrevated but I thik it tickled him too,,,, I miss all those little things that were little but so special.... just been a real weepy week for me...
but next week I will kick up into high gear and get kitties moved the best I can until the neighbor finishes the shed. I am also re accessing the health of some of the older kitties, I might do a multiple escort to the rainbow bridge, passing on as they lived.. all together. I have 6 to 11 that could cross over and I would know I was doing what is best for thm instead of waiting for the last breath... especially since some of the ailments will eventually turn very unpleasant for them....
Anyway... hope everyone is enjoying the spurts of nice weather, I have bouquets of daffies, and Hyacinths, and no sign of tulips! wisteria and southern magnolia are getting ready to awaken, and forsythias are brilliant yellow. Crocuses smiling everywhere!

more and my front flooded but stayed contained, I sent pictures to my driveway guy. hope you all are getting ready for the Easter Holiday tomorrow. I made cheese cake, and pasta salad, and scrubbed my sink and coffee pot where I run vinegar through etc.. then got scalloped taters cooking will add ham later.. got stuff to make green bean casserole but not sure I will make it...or sweet potatoes. I am cooking in case anyone calls to come visit... if not I have dinners for all week. I've been watching the Jesus series from History channel. on my Roku.

Thinking of you today, SAR. The holidays are tough for us, remembering the special things we did with our loved ones. I just wasn't up to doing something with the grandkids this time and they are always so busy these days anyway. Wow, sounds like you cooked up a storm, but then you usually do! Lots of here too but the only thing that floods is my sidewalk and the one next door. Thankfully in warm weather it leaves fairly quickly. I so hoped your flooding problems were over! I love my Roku too. So many choices of things to watch! My friend's son with the brain tumor has started chemo. It just makes me want to cry. I hope the best for him. They finally mowed here yesterday so the grounds look so much better. I'm getting a better idea of what I can grow outside. HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!
