We've had very cold weather! After today is supposed to warm up and be a lot milder all week. I'm looking forward to spring too, Sar! We took Fred to the groomers in the city last Thursday. I couldn't wait to see how pretty he looked but when we went back to get him they told us they couldn't do anything with him. He wouldn't get in the bath tub, wouldn't get up on the table to get brushed, wouldn't even let them brush him on the floor, then he wouldn't even let them get near him. He must of been growling at them. He wasn't having any of that! lol So we just have to brush him ourselves and in the summer take him to the river and let him go swimming, he does like that. I'm glad it's warming up there for you, Sar. I hope everyone is having a great Sunday.

Oh my, CSue, it sounds like Fred has a mind of his own. Nova didn't like baths either so got very few. Winter still isn't over yet, unfortunately, but I hope the arctic blast is over.
SAR, glad it is warming up for you. You might be jealous when I tell you that it was 60 degrees here today and will be about 65 tomorrow. What an extreme change from a few days ago when it was 4-8 degrees and we lost power for almost 8 hours.
Hope everyone is doing okay!

SAR and GG it looks like the heavy we got headed your direction. So wet and flooded all over here. My phone and internet were off for 14 hours yesterday, I assume because of the and storms. Thankfully back to business. One of my high school classmates passed away yesterday morning. He had just posted on Facebook three days before so we had no idea he was to that point. Another victim of Agent Orange and chemo. Such a sense of humor he had. I haven't seen him in 50 years but I will still miss his presence and humor. Keep thinkin' spring, ya'll!

Oh PL, so sorry about your classmate's passing. Sar, that is terrible that it's about the same thing that did that to Dan. So sad. We had milder temperatures yesterday but it came with freezing . But the road crew did a good job keeping the roads good and the freezing wasn't as bad as was forecasted. We don't have a skating rink in our driveway this time anyway. My brother-in-law got a job with the government last fall driving one of the plow/salt/sand trucks so I'll give him credit for helping to do a good job on the roads. Billy's birthday is tomorrow. I got him ice grippers, or cleats as they are also called, to put on his boots so he doesn't fall down when it's icy out. I already gave them to him as we had some icy conditions last week. I made his birthday cake tonight, chocolate double layer with boiled chocolate icing and I got some vanilla ice cream to put on it. Sar, it's cold here tonight too and we also got the big wind gusts that is blowing snow around. I hope the weather gets better for us both! Take care and have a good night everyone.

Hi All! So sorry for the loss of your h/s friend Plantlady. Even though we rarely see our old school friends I think we all have such great memories of that time in our lives and those that we shared them with... Happy Birthday to Billy!!! It’s pretty cold here today. The weather has been all over the place this winter. We have had lots of heavy /wind storms but have not even had enough snow to shovel yet. The snow storms have started off as snow, freezing and ended in which cleaned everything up nicely. Hope things are going well for you Sue. Things here have quieted down a lot. (Thank you God!) Mom & Dad are doing okay after their fall. They both had terrible colds so I slept there for the last two weeks to help with Mom overnight. My SIL is recovering after her surgery. She had a set back last week but is back on the mend. Hopefully thinks will be quiet for a while. Wishing all of you a great Sunday and week ahead!

Oh, SAR, maybe you told us before about Dan being exposed to Agent Orange but for some reason I just don't remember. Our temperatures here are like a roller coaster, warm for a day or two and then back to cold. Lots of icy roads and accidents in the area this morning but it is warming up enough that the ice is turning to . Then of course we have to worry about flooding now because the will continue for the next couple of days..... CSue, I hope Billy enjoyed his birthday and is getting good use out of those cleats! Kona, for your parents and SIL as they heal. I don't envy any of you for the cold and so much snow this winter. Hoping spring is right around the corner! to all!
