Ouch, hope you feel better soon, SAR! A lot of people seem to be coming down with something lately and of course they say it is covid, whether it is or not. Glad you have been getting out more and having fun.
Hot and muggy here too. UGH. Sure will be glad when it cools off. Made a quick trip to the next town for groceries this morning in the heat. When I got home, the hatch on the back of my car wouldn't open. Then I accidentally hit the bag of eggs against the door and it broke one. One of those days, I guess. Sure hope it doesn't cost a fortune to get the hatch fixed.

Keeping you in my today, SAR. Get well soon! Have you been able to do supplements like olive leaf extract, echinacea, oil of oregano, vitamin C or colloidal silver? Fresh garlic or fresh oranges might help also. Those are some of my go-to's for respiratory illnesses. And rest, which is something easier said than done, I know.
Went to the PA and chiro this morning. Both made me feel better in a number of ways. Good people.
to everyone who checks in.

Hope you start feeling better soon Sue! Even if it is COVID there is no quick fix. I agree with plantlady; try to get as many good things in you as possible.
Glad you feel better after visiting the PA and chiro plantlady. Hope your hatchback is ok now. Sometimes if you can manually put it up or down, it may help it to go on its own. Maybe one of the boys can take a look at it before you have to spend money on it.
It’s miserably hot here this week. We had a beautiful fall-like week and last week and got spoiled… Early fall is my favorite time of year except for maybe spring.
Stay cool everyone!

Glad you checked in, Kona. Hope it cools down there soon. We're only going to be in the 80's here for the next week, I think. I tried everything on my hatchback, with no success. It's a manual hatch and will not unlock. I dug into the problem online and it appears that it is likely a switch inside the door, something I cannot fix myself. My oldest will probably look at it this weekend but not sure if he can fix it either. Who knows. Hope SAR is getting her appetite back. Nutrition is vital for healing.

I sure hope Sue is feeling better as well. Sending prayers and hope it’s not COVID.
I know when I had it I would have a symptom and start feeling better and then get another symptom etc. That went on for like a week and a half! Not too bad though…
Plantlady, what I would do is run a search on YouTube with your make, mode, year and problem. I bet you’ll find out what needs to be done!

SAR, hope you are feeling better today.
Kona, I had already checked Youtube and done web searches on the problem. My oldest will take a look at it but from what I've seen, I'll probably have to have it worked on. Then today my windows wouldn't open when I pulled up to a drive up window so I'm thinking maybe that's a fuse problem. More stuff to look up online. *sigh*
Made it to one yard sale, the farmers market and the food coop this morning. Had special coupons so I got free honey, apples, green beans and onions. Of course I had to sleep most of the afternoon afterwards. :( Will be seeing the cardiologist's PA tomorrow (the cardio doc is home sick) about being tired and achy all the time, plus other problems that I am almost certain are related to the meds.
Hope everyone is getting nice weather like we are now!

I'm feeling better each day, but have to go slow, not with all the gusto I usually have. this week is grape picking at the winery, hope I can go, and I have a eye dr appt Thurs.
I've been just picking something and trying to clean that area, each day.
that's quite a haul, PL...I got about 10 pounds of apples from my tree, and grapes to make 4 quarts of juice, but the birds got all my elderberries.
I want to work outside but the skeeters are horrid, I really think "someone" let swarms loose this yr!
hope you all have a great Sunday after noon, and rest when you need it, we are no longer spring chickens!

Nice haul on the apples and grapes, SAR. It must have been a lot of work picking them when you aren't feeling well. Glad you are doing a little better gradually and hopefully not overdoing it!
Got to see my cardiologist's PA yesterday. She took lots of time with and listened to me. She took me off of two meds (one at least temporarily to see how my BP reacts) and I'm starting to feel better already. Crossing my fingers that I can keep from having to go back on it. Found out that my fully vaxxed and boosted cardiologist has covid and that the computer system of the cardiac institute has been down because they were hacked!
Hope I can get more done today than I have been able to do. Time to get at it! Hope everyone is having a good day!

So sorry to hear that you are still dealing with the coughing, SAR. I hope that you will feel better soon. Maybe not a good idea to go to the eye doctor with that.
I went to the eye doctor/surgeon this morning to be evaluated for eyelid surgery because of my droopy eyes. It's scheduled for November. I will need help because I won't be able to drive for at least a week, apparently. The surgeon had originally said it would be done 50 miles away, but I told them about how I am fearful of traveling that far since my rollover accident and they scheduled it for a surgery center less than 10 miles away. Urologist appointment next week. We sure do have more medical appointments now that we are older, don't we?
Such nice weather here this week (great sleeping weather!) but they are saying it will heat up to the 80's next week. Summer just isn't over yet here!

I'm feeling much better, I went and picked grapes from 9 to 3 today.... only 11 more rows and the grapes will be picked for the yr.
I'm glad they were able to make your surgery closer... and yes it sux how our health needs grow more and more as we age...
I'm showered and ready for the night, maybe a movie.... not sure If I posted, but I am not seeing Dave or anyone anymore...so alone again, and it is ok.
now I'd like to just find a nice friend that will pop in locally and not be over an hr away.. and did I say...nice... but it seems there is not many out there. so I will work on the yard and nesting for the winter... and watching lots of movies.
hope everyone is going to have a nice late summer week end.

Glad to hear that you are doing better, SAR! You hadn't mentioned not seeing anyone lately, so kind of thought that you were more "single" these days. Yes, time for us to start thinking about preparing for winter.
I'm still feeling better since going off of the two meds this week. This morning I hit five yard sales, went to the store to get couple of things, took my car for an oil change, and then came home, watered all my plants and took a nap. This evening I have done two loads of laundry (one of them rugs) and actually swept and mopped the bathroom floor and hallway, among other things. Haven't got to the dishes but they can wait til morning! Hope I feel this good tomorrow so I can get more done! May not seem like much for some, but after dragging so badly the past two and a half years, it really lifts my spirits to be able to do more.
Keeping CSue in my prayers as she is dealing with the effects of Hurricane/Tropical storm Lee. Last I heard, her power was out.
