Well I'm hopeful, SAR. So far it's started out that I'm feeling better after all I went through last year. Went to see the urologist PA yesterday and she was fine with the herb I'm taking (chanca piedra) for the kidney stones and my BP was good. Then had a nice long lunch with an old friend so it was a good day. Tomorrow it's supposed to be in the low 60's with sunshine!
Hope it's a really GOOD year for all of us!

PL that herb you are taking is it good for Kidney/bladder things. I do not have a UTI right now, but having had 2 in 2 weeks and oly 3 days each on antibiotics I want t make sure I'm ok. I take D-Mannous (spelling) for good bacteria in Bladder and cystex to keep kidneys good. but not sure I should take it forever.. I know my urine is a lot stronger, but I am thinking all the stuff I am taking! I go on heavy vits during the winter.. and lighten up on them in the Summer months.
glad you are feeling better!.
hope everyone pops in to just check in.

It's been a lazy Sunday here. Milder out than normal for this time of year. Me and the made a trip to the store while Billy watched TV. We had left over stew for supper. I made that yesterday. I love stew! My daughter's birthday today, so hard to believe she is 39! I guess I'm old but I don't feel old, even though my son is 44. Where did my little kids go! lol I'm glad you are better, PL. Sar, it sure is a big change with a new partner. I'm used to it now and we have been all settled in for quite some time and things are mostly running smoothly. It takes time to adjust. I can't believe how smart our , Fred is. He knows almost every word we say, every whole sentence we speak. We are in to spelling words so the doesn't know what we are saying. lol He loves to go for a drive and we can't talk about going ahead of time now. We can't mention "drive" or "truck" or "store" because he gets so excited and wants to go right at that moment. So we started saying the name of the stores that we are going to later, now he knows that too and gets all excited. lol I did read that a border collie will get to know over 200 words. I hope you are all having a great Sunday. I'll be glad when I don't hear or have to read any more headlines about the Super Bowl. I hate football.

CSue, Fred is a border collie. They are SO intelligent. It's amazing. Glad you are having mild weather. We are too but looks like colder, wetter stuff is about to hit starting tomorrow. I don't watch football but I'm hearing so much about the half time show and how inappropriate it was and have seen photos. I miss those days when our kids were young. Randy will be 40 in July!
SAR, the chanca piedra is supposed to possibly dissolve or prevent kidney stones and maybe relax the ureter so the stones can pass. Whether or not it actually works is up for debate, but mostly on the positive side as far as I can find out. I hope you are drinking enough water. Squeezing fresh lemon into your water can be helpful also.
Ran errands this morning and paid my rent. I happened to run into one of the housing administrators and in the course of our conversation I mentioned my next door neighbor with her that she allows to run loose day and night to poop in everyone's yard. I also told him that I had filed a written complaint yet it is continuing. He said he would bring it up with the housing manager. I caught her doing it in my yard Saturday so yesterday I sprinkled chili and cayenne powder around the border of my yard to see if that would keep her out. So tired of the smell and the flies during nice weather, stepping in it in my tiny little yard, and her waking me up barking at all hours of the night. She's violating all of the housing regulations on dogs.
The last two days have been so pleasant outside. Sadly it will be turning colder and wetter starting tomorrow. Almost makes me wish I lived down where it's warm by Lightfeather!

It has stayed warm enough that we've had hardly any snow this winter so far, all seems to go just north of us. Mostly cold ....again and again and again. The big dip in my sidewalk has been a pond most of the time for the past couple of weeks so I try not to go out unless it's mostly dried up for a day and then unfortunately it's mostly mud.
Been having computer issues, but hopefully will have a new one in the next week or so.
The next door hasn't been out as much since it's raining and cold so much, but is still a problem. Unfortunately all that likely has washed away the chili and cayenne powders I sprinkled.
to all who drop by....

yeah that is the problem you have to keep redoing the pepper after it rains.
today was busy already with the propane deliver, the water guy came and checked the running sumps, and it is all ground water...we are simply saturated in the whole county.. he is running ragged but it is all ground water...Rick is working in the barn again then sometime this week will put a ceiling back up in my laundry room.
I'm loving having a warm fire in the wood burner... but some days it is just chilly to the bones when you have to be outside.
waving to all that pop in!

SAR I can't imagine having to worry about all that water every time there is a heavy or snow melt. All I have to deal with is my sidewalk. I went to the store today rather than tomorrow because there was only an inch on the sidewalk and I could get around it to some degree. We are supposed to get drenched tomorrow so it will turn into a pond. Housing won't fix it.
Oh indeed, there is nothing like cozying up next to a nice warm fire. That sounds so good right now....
My computer is running, but it's so slow it's hard to do anything. Randy found a good deal on a better one so we ordered it. It's been shipped already so hoping to have it by the weekend.

Got computer installed last night and still have some tweaking to do, but hooray! Didn't have time to work on it yesterday as went to Wyatt's Grandparents Day program, took him to lunch, hung out here til Hannah got off school, and then she drove from school to pick him up around 3:30. I was so tired I fell asleep around 4 p.m. and slept until 11 p.m.! It's 5 a.m. and I'm still up.
Oh and some young girls from the neighborhood stopped by while Wyatt was here, brought me a rose and wished me Happy Valentine's Day. So sweet.
Hope you got your computer up to snuff now, SAR!

that was so sweet, PL....
yes I thought he was coming today at 1 pm as of our last communications.. but it is 2 nd he is not here, so I texted him... still nothing.
at least the Sun is shining on the snow and the snow on the roof is melting.... I was able to let cats out to play a bit and absorb some sunshine today. I can;t wait to start on the garage and get it done .. the cats were all to be out before the cold weather hit, but too much else needed done. so that is one of the first spring time jobs this yr! then we can fix all the evidence that cats lived inside for all the yrs. new floors and paint the walls and just take back my house but have designated areas for the critters!
hope you all have a great Sunday Afternoon.

got all my bills paid except for the things they automatic take out (which I hate, I like to pay it and know it is done, but the medical stuff and insurances will only do the automatic thing. I just allow for that amt. since I never know the exact day they pull it out.
Rick has been busy in the barn you'd never know animals once resided in there, it is now a work shop for electrical, mechanical and engineering things.
we had a talk this morning I told him we are very far behind where I thought we'd be as far as moving cats all completely out so we could start ripping out the damaged areas and replacing floors and wood.
he seems to think of other things that "need" done, I want to get this other done FIRST then he can do what "needs" done. this "needs" done to me!
he's had to leave every day for the last week to run him mom somewhere or get her something... which is fine.. but then everything here is stopped and postponed. I;d like to get back on track and get things "done".
ok I'm done..lol..... and how are each of you holding up in this cold and with the flu season?
